Kelly Clark was climbing the sky, twisting, inching, swirling to a place no woman had ever been on a snowboard before. U.S. Coach Bud Keene watched her burst from the lip of the halfpipe, her board glistening in the sun and the thought occurred to him that he was seeing the "biggest run ever" by a woman.
And as she hung there on her last jump, more than 13 feet above the snow, the dream looked so undeniably real -- a U.S. sweep, a gold medal around her neck, flags and flashbulbs everywhere.
