France and Italy went into a second overtime tied at 1-1 in the World Cup final on Sunday after no team scored in the first 15 minutes. If no team wins in the second overtime, the game will be decided on penalty kicks.
In the ninth minute of overtime, Franck Ribery of France shot wide off the far post. It was the closest any player had come to scoring in overtime.
