Israeli Strikes Kill Dozens In "Deadliest Single Attack"...

A series of Israeli airstrikes in this small mountain town were the deadliest single attack in the war here so far.

Red Cross paramedics carried the body of a Lebanese man recovered from the rubble of a demolished building that was struck by Israeli missiles Sunday in the southern Lebanese city of Qana. More Photos »

[At least 56 people were killed, most of them children, The Associated Press reported.]

Rescue workers and neighbors worked frantically Sunday morning to find survivors among the wreckage of a house, where two large extended families were hiding in a garage. Six small children, their mouths open and full of dirt, were brought out and laid on stretchers.
