DealBreaker reports the rumor that Atom Entertainment CEO Mika Salmi has been ushered into the top spot at MTV, recently and unceremoniously vacated by Tom Freston (though this sounds like it was quite the ceremony!). Atom Entertainment, famous for shorts and shockwave, was acquired by MTV in August. Fun fact: Salmi discovered and signed Nine Inch Nails! Which makes us think of a joke:
Q: What does the New President of MTV want to do to you like an animal?
A: Play hide the Salmi!
