Kofi Annan: I'm Sorry The UN Couldn't Stop The Iraq War...

UN Secretary General Kofi Annan spoke at a news conference in Geneva today:

"On the questions of regret, I still have to say is there is a war in Iraq and that the debate and discussions that took place in the council could not have helped us stop the war. I firmly believe that the war could have been avoided, and the inspectors should have had a bit more time"...
