Hollywood Campaign Brawl
Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton, appearing at the non-debate forum in Carson City, Nev., just responded to a question about the Hollywood brawl between her campaign and Senator Barack Obama's over remarks made about the Clintons by David Geffen, the Hollywood billionaire heavyweight. See our earlier post, with the controversy first teed up by our very own Maureen Dowd.)
The forum moderator, ABC's George Stephanopoulos, asked Mrs. Clinton whether Mr. Obama should denounce Mr. Geffen, who was co-sponsor of a million-dollar-plus fund-raiser in Hollywood for the Illinois Democrat on Tuesday. (That was the demand of her top campaign adviser, Howard Wolfson, in a statement earlier today as he denounced Mr. Geffen's remarks as "personal attacks" on the Clintons and called for the Obama campaign to return the celebrity cash Mr. Geffen had raised. )
