Women's Health Hopes "Blue" Issues Are The New Green

With magazines' green issues reaching the saturation point, Rodale's Women's Health is betting blue is the next big thing in environmental awareness. Dubbed its "blue issue," the November Women's Health will delve into the role of water in areas like travel, sports, bathing and health.
For the issue, Women's Health partnered with third-generation environmentalists Alexandra and Philippe Cousteau, who are the grandchildren of Jacques Cousteau. They will guest-edit and work with the magazine on an adventure travel piece, said Tina Johnson, vp, editor in chief. "Water is something that touches everybody's lives," she said. "[The Cousteaus'] platform is really about, as is ours, making a difference by making choices every day that impact a healthy planet."
