Kurtz's Kasual Korner
Yesterday on "Reliable Sources," Howie Kurtz tried a new ripped-from-the-headlines look, though we think that a daring bit of décolletage might have been even more effective, or at least something in baby-blue. Kurtz confirms that the look is one he has himself sported off-air, though for this segment "the consensus was that my producer's sweater was much prettier than mine. So I ripped it off." He does, however, also confirm that he is far too manly to own a baby-blue sweater. Also of interest on "Reliable Sources," other than Hillary's cleavage, which we'll get to (what, you don't think I've been sitting on the headline "Shake Your Moneymakers!" all weekend?), and in addition to an analysis of the YouTube debate — which already seems like an awful long time ago — Sam Donaldson and his eyebrows, and a patented Howie Kurtz "are the media being fair to...?" discussion of slugger Barry Bonds ("Are journalists denigrating Bonds'
achievements?") — phew! — well, in addition to all that, Kurtz ran a segment on Lindsay Lohan that was probably the Plotz Heard 'Round The World, or at least Gawker Media, since it featured pundit Julia Allison. We are not sure, frankly, how Gawker will choose between Allison items today, since there's also this from the Techcrunch soiree in San Francisco on Friday. Somehow, in a post covering a marquee party for an entire industry, she managed to be the lead, eclipsing even Michael Arrington in an orange clown wig. I repeat, Michael Arrington in an orange clown wig. Then again, Allison is now something of a tech pioneer, having been the only person ever to use the phrase "the adorable Mike Arrington."*

*I am almost a pioneer: This is actually not the first time that Allison has been described as "Pundit Julia Allison." It's the second. But there is also no way that there is any other blog post in the world with this collection of name.
