Stocks Dip Below 13,000
Stocks wobbled Wednesday after briefly dipping below 13,000 as Wall Street kept a close eye on the Federal Reserve and how much more cash it might inject into the banking system.
The market changed course several times in early trading amid conflicting announcements from the Fed over its plans to inject cash into the banking system. The Fed ultimately said it would add cash Wednesday, and that mollified a market still highly sensitive to uncertain credit market conditions.
