Too bad, Nicole Kidman is an above average actress. Maybe it will succeed overseas on on DVD and cable.

jennifer aniston has gotten name identity as a master of light romantic comedy, even though she will do many other things. she didn't try to stretch out, get experimental, or worry about type-casting. she knew that she needed a genre based permanent audience that will see all her movies. her average films are solid and she will have some very big hits.
nicole kidman is the opposite. has had any number of different, challenging roles. she is not identified with a genre and has no real base of permanent genre-based fans. people have no idea what to expect from her and she keeps most of herself inside her, so i don't think she does the damsel-in-horror/scifi-distress very well. she is almost impossible for women to consistently identify with... she has received worse career advice than jennifer aniston- but who hasn't.

Nicole Kidman is so so so so Over. She was over about a year before Bewitched, another movie no one saw. And someone here liked Cold Mountain!!? It was a disaster and she seemed totally stoned throughout " didn't have a clue about what she was doing. But her makeup stayed perfect for the whole civil war and a stray stand of perfect curl indicated her hardships. Yeah, so, anyways, Invasion of the Body Snatchers AGAIN!? The b/o disaster of this moronic idea is fabulously gratifying.

Nicole Kidman is beautiful and still is and more beautiful in person than on film..!

She is also a really great serious talented actress..

Kidman is getting incredibly bad career advice. Her talent is on a level with Meryl Streep, but she keeps picking terrible projects. "The Others" and "The Hours" will go down as great films. "To Die For" was a great satire on the overarching desire for fame among ordinary people, but the junk is overwhelming the gold on Nicole's degrading film resume'.

She should pull back and do fewer projects of better quality.

These hollywood "elite" types have so much money they could give a damn about acting...like weathermen..they still get paid no matter what. We,re in AMERICA .. its all about the ching.

Actually this was just a movie that did not need to be remade. I liked her in "Cold Mountain", "Birth" and "The Human Stain". Most of her other movies such as "Bewitched", "The Interpretor" and "The Stepford Wives" have been stinkers.

Nic is famous largely because she married Cruise, then, as these things usually go, made it look like she was ill-treated by him ( in this case it might be true--he's a weirdo). Then she did the pretty-girl-gets-ugly-for-role bit and won an Oscar ( see Charlize Theron).

She's an OK actress, little more. She's been on a roll, and it's finally, and appropriately, slowing down.

One must always watch what Faux News says...
