"See, 'Ol Maliki here is kinda like me....a good guy who almost any man would like to have a beer with! And that's why I like him...'cause he's a good guy! Hell, I'd even like to have a beer with him and I don't even drink! He's that good a guy, see, he's such a good guy I'd even consider going off the wagon just to have a beer with him, he's such a good guy!

"I mean, you'd like to have a beer with him, wouldn't you? See, I told you so, he's just like me, and that's why I like him. I'd like him even if he wasn't such a good guy, honest!"

The one constant whenever almost any politician in the USA speaks of Iraq is that we have the right to tell them what to do. "they aren't meeting our benchmarks" Well screw our benchmarks. They get to decide what craziness they're going to have for laws. We already took a secular state and created a Theocracy (all laws must now follow Islam, according to their Constitution). Haven't we done enough harm? They don't want "Daddy" USA telling them what to do. It's time, since we got rid of Saddam's WMDs (the reason given for the war) to declare victory and leave.

"STAY THE COURSE" - says GWBush. The last time Bush "scrambled" was when he heard "last call for alchohol"......a 40-somethin' year old frat-boy elected president - how dumb can we be. Answer: TWICE !! Jan. 20, 2000 - Hang in there America !

It's interesting to me how Dubya can continue to stick his foot in his big mouth - considering his head is so far up his arse. At least the old boy is consistent.

Come on Bushy, Malaki and Barney are the only ones left, so better not insult either one. Cheney on the other hand is probably on his way to Saudi Arabia right now hoping to borrow a few tankers so they can stop and fill up before the entire country collapses!

There is a not-so-thinly concealed threat in Maliki's words. Maybe the Americans are too bull-headed to see it, but (speaking metaphorically... ) a wise Arab always carries a wicked knife in his thick cloak.

... I should note that I do not mean to imply that such a man is deceitful, but rather that he is wise and prepared. Centuries of living in the desert domain, always at the crossroads of both the trade-routes and the war-routes of the Greater Continent, have taught these men to survive and to conquer. A man who underestimates these people, their determination and their cunning, is briefly astonished before he is dead.

Our gunslinger President has not been tested in the area of his acts and their repercussions, as astonishing as this seems.

Congress has failed horribly in that department.

Let's hope that W doesn't start WWIII by attacking Iran. The rest of the world has been patient with W's bloodthirsty swagger, but at some point they will have had enough, and that point will come when W's actions impact their economies by endangering their access to oil.

Is this a trend? Look at the list of people Bush has given a thumbs up to. We all know who they are. Bush must live in that alternate reality known as opposite world. He thinks his approval ratings are disapproval ratings, protestors are cheerleaders, and dumb is smart etc. Well if Bush gave me a thumbs up I would immediately start a new career.

Bush is used to saying one thing and doing another. Congress and his base just let him get away with it; Bush must be shocked that Mr. Maliki wouldn't just lie down and take the blame for all of Bush's mistakes and pretend everything is hunky-dorey.

Someone needs to explain to Mr. al Maliki that Bush's game is a pretend one; nothing is real; it's all based on a theory once or twice removed from reality. Then someone should explain to Mr. Bush that this kind of thing will be harder and harder on our troops in Iraq, who bear the worst burden. Then Mr. Bush should support our troops. He should get them out.

Let's see now. Bush gave Tenet a medal and canned him. He gave Brown a big "atta boy" and ....
Now he says that Maliki is OK?
