Clinton Responds To Bush Iraq Speech: "No Military Solution To The Sectarian Fighting In Iraq"

Hillary Clinton office released a statement Wednesday morning, responding to President Bush's speech to the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

"Our brave troops have been doing everything asked of them for four and a half years. And they have been doing everything asked of them since the Administration announced the surge. The surge was designed to give the Iraqi government time to take steps to ensure a political solution to the situation. It has failed to do so. The White House's report in September won't change that. It is abundantly clear that there is no military solution to the sectarian fighting in Iraq. We need to stop refereeing the war, and start getting out now."

I think I'll wait till Mrs. Clinton gives sufficient thought to this fraud (aka Iraq war), and figures out what her poisition is on this most important issue of the day.

So far, I am extremely disappointed by her back and forth assessments, and by her apparent lack of grasp on the issue.

Another Clinton? Spare me! -- first another Bush, worse than the first. Now, another Clinton, sure to be worse than the first, whom many GOP members consider to have been "a pretty good Republican president".

Can't we get the wishy-washy Democratic party to realize that they can keep up with the GOP in kissing corporate behinds? That there are masses of people out here looking for some grass roots leadership?

Doesn't that mamby-pamby party realize that the selection of Hillary will mean "another pretty good Republican president.

Not too long ago,she advocated sending more troops to Iraq. Not to long ago, such as a week ago, she said that the surge was working.

Has she ever ever addressed the loss of human life in this bloodbath called Iraq? Has she ever ever showed compassion toward the familiea of the troops who will never ever see their loved children, wives and fathers ever again because they were killed on the whims of a stupid man and persons like Hillary Clinton who voted to give him this power of illegal abuse? There are other Democratic Congressman recently back from Iraq who are saying that we have made progress is Anbar but it's not enough; how dare many of you Dems (and I am a Democrat) make partisan politics out of people's lives in war: so we're to believe that any Dem that calls it like it is, is a turn-coat? If Bush ends the war he started during his term, I will be happy for it and all the soldiers who can come back ALIVE.
