Is Edwards Rove's Worst Nightmare?

I'm not a Hilary fan, but I'd feel better with her than anybody the Republicans will throw out there. And since we'll still probably be in Iraq in 08, I feel pretty good about our chances IF she wins the nomination.

I agree that Hillary has traps in her past but what politician doesn't? Romney changes his mind more often than underwear. Every Republican and Democratic candidate has a questionable background. The other candidates struggle to get exposure in the MSM and to speak during debates.

Edwards won't get elected because his message in 2004 is the same as now. He won't get elected because he is not electable. He squandered valuable political capital. He is running for the vice presidency and that is not an electable office. But he just might end up as that.

Joe Tripi is right on this one...Hilary is a sitting duck for the Republican propaganda machine to take down. She has too many things in her past that can produce lies. She is also a fence straddler...both she and Obama...they try to cater to whomever they are speaking with. John Edwards has retained the SAME platform since '04 and does not veer from it. This makes him VERY dangerous to Republicans. Anne Coulter has tried with her visciosness, but it will back-fire on her and cause people to disregard anything she says...she will play only (in the future) to her base of Republicans who think hate-speech is wonderful and appropriate. Of all the Democratic candidates, only John Edwards has a plan for all Americans. However, I don't think the Democratic Party will back him...they, too, are frightened of him. They will try to do to him what they did to Howard Dean.

Arrogant, pompous little feminine prick.....what makes Edwards a threat to anybody except medical professionals, who get dragged into court so the ambulance chaser can conduct seances with aborted fetuses and walk out with an 8-figure judgment.

Even though Rove is pond scum, Edwards doesn't deserve to lick the chewing gum off Rove's soles, much less be a "threat".

Edwards' handlers are scraping the bottom of the barrel if that's the only reason they can find to expose him in the media.

One swift wave of Rove's hand and Edwards will complain about his hair being ruffled.

The campaign John Edwards is running is his worst nightmare.

Any nightmare of Rove is a dream to me.

The Breck Girl sure thinks a lot of herself.

Gore's tongue-hockey with Tipper's uvula in 2000 was awkward and iccky, on that we can all agree.

But in 2004, wasn't it an absolutely odd bit of campaign strategy to have Kerry and Edwards caress each other's face and neck at each campaign stop?

I still don't get that one but you can't blame Trippi for it.

It's clear that Edwards is electable.
However, as many have pointed out,GOP operatives such as Murdoch and Rove want "Mrs. Bill Clinton" to be the nominee. If Edwards, or Obama, or Biden are unable to defeat the neo-con shills at the DLC, and she wins the nomination, then the very next morning, be prepared for a marathon onslaught i.e., the 24/7 rehashing of:

Hillary's hand in Travelgate, Reno and Waco, Ron Brown's death, Vince Foster's suicide, Elian Gonzalez, Jennifer Flowers, the rehabilitation of Paula Jones, Kathleen Willie, Linda Tripp, Monicagate, Charlie Trie and the China connection, etc, etc, and ad infinitum. This will make the swift boating of John Kerry look like a FTD candygram.
Forget about the MSM concentrating on any of Clinton's accomplishments. And don't forget that this will energize the 27% invincibly ignorant true believers like nothing else.
