McCain finance chairman Bob Mosbacher says "people feel badly" for the Arizona senator after campaign meltdown, boosting online fund raising. "It's doing very well," he says. Cindy McCain asks supporters to sign an e-card for her husband's birthday on Wednesday -- and donate $142, two dollars a year.

McCain and Powell are just two of those who wasted their integrity and honor in the service of a president who, truly, did not deserve their loyalty. Real courage would have required that they refuse to be complicit in the corrupt acts of this administration.

I want to point out the effort here to turn an article and thread about McCain and his supporters feeling sorry for him cause he is wrong on the issues into a thread about the Edwards and her struggle with cancer.
The Edwards have the means to deal with their medical bills. At the same time the Edwards know many American families don't.
McCain needs every dollar he can get to survive politically.
Edwards knows how to get free media.
Should he win the nomination, no end of dollars will be there to support him.
We support Elizabeth with our prayers.
Surrender tories.

They don't feel bad for him.
They feel bad for themselves.
The rent is due and they send him their money.
Similar to Christian fundraising.
"Seven, be good to me".

People feel badly?

Badly as used here is an adverb, it modifies feel. He is saying McCain supporters can not clearly feel the things they touch.

Well, I can feel things just fine. No two dollars from me.

John, please go back to Arizona while there is still time to save your reputation.

that's a hell of a reason to vote for some-one for president, particularly some-one who betrayed the troops he professes to love so much time and time again

I'd like to have a beer with McCain, if he's buying.

Can John McCain go away? He's washed up and delusional (see stroll through an Iraqi market). All the Republicans should vote for Ron Paul!!!

My sister just lost her husband to cancer. I'd like people to donate $142.00 a year to help her support her family and stay in the family home.
My brother-in-law was self employed. He had a small construstion company. The only health insurance he had was my sister's from her job, and she had to pay $700.00 a month for her family.
Now my brother-in-law is gone. How is my sister going to make all the payments that need to be made.
I think that a donation to her would be put to better use than donating anything to McCain.
Why should I care about his sad campaign?
I'll answer that, I won't.

Poor thing. If he is so strapped for cash, maybe he should go back to the Baghdad market and sit there until he sells those rugs he bought. It's so safe there after all.
