Romney's New Health Plan More 'Conservative' Than 'Universal' One He Promoted As Governor
New York Times:
Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, who has said that his positions on some issues have "evolved" or changed in recent years, is set to discuss the details of a his health care plan in Florida today, which also seems to be something of an evolution from proposals he has supported in the past.
The Times's Michael Luo reports that Mr. Romney's plan "departs significantly from the universal health care measure that he helped forge as governor of Massachusetts, reflecting the conservative audience he must now appeal to in order to win the Republican presidential nomination."
