Roll Call reports:

Sen. Larry Craig (R-Idaho) was arrested in June at a Minnesota airport by a plainclothes police officer investigating lewd conduct complaints in a men's public restroom, according to an arrest report obtained by Roll Call Monday afternoon.

Craig's arrest occurred just after noon on June 11 at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport. On Aug. 8, he pleaded guilty to misdemeanor disorderly conduct in the Hennepin County District Court. He paid more than $500 in fines and fees, and a 10-day jail sentence was stayed. He also was given one year of probation with the court that began on Aug. 8.

A spokesman for Craig described the incident as a "he said/he said misunderstanding," and said the office would release a fuller statement later Monday afternoon.

After he was arrested, Craig, who is married, was taken to the Airport Police Operations Center to be interviewed about the lewd conduct incident, according to the police report. At one point during the interview, Craig handed the plainclothes sergeant who arrested him a business card that identified him as a U.S. Senator and said, "What do you think about that?" the report states. [...]

According to the incident report, Sgt. Dave Karsnia was working as a plainclothes officer on June 11 investigating civilian complaints regarding sexual activity in the men's public restroom in which Craig was arrested.

Airport police previously had made numerous arrests in the men's restroom of the Northstar Crossing in the Lindbergh Terminal in connection with sexual activity.

"At 1216 hours, Craig tapped his right foot... Craig tapped his toes several times and moves his foot closer to my foot..."

Maybe he was just practicing his tap dancing routines for press conferences.

A Pulitzer Prize for the Idaho Statesman!

2 weeks ago, the Idaho Statesman lamented:
Craig's ambivalence about staying in Congress, where he's been since 1981, is no hard-to-get act. To retire would mean giving up at the peak of his power and bidding farewell to aspirations reaching to his days as a Future Farmers of America speech champ living on a hardscrabble ranch 24 dirt-road miles east of Midvale. But calling it quits at 63 would mean more time with nine grandchildren, an end to the beating he's taking over his gutsy leadership on immigration reform, and the prospect of making millions as a lobbyist. Craig told me he will announce his plans in mid-September. He hasn't picked a setting. "Nor have I picked the words," he said, shaking his head as if to marvel at his inner conflict.

Craig's vertigo has prompted an odd curiosity: a Draft Craig movement. Last week, a group of Craig alumni — veterans of campaign and congressional staffs — mailed a flier statewide asking Republicans to return postcards urging Craig to run. They plan to deliver him mailbags by month's end.

"Larry is a dedicated and valuable leader for Idaho, and we hope that this effort will help Suzanne and him make the right decision — which in our opinion is to run again," said Jason Kreizenbeck, treasurer of the Idaho Needs Craig Draft Committee and government affairs chief at Micron.

It is no wonder that Idahoans and others throughout the nation reliant upon journalistic curiousity of this caliber have no idea what the hell is going on.

Did Craig register as a sex offender? Did "any" republican sex offender register? Their neighbors have a right to know. How many will be kissing babies in the next campaign?

Hey, but this is what people voted for. Oral sex out of the white house and into the out house.

Sounds like a rockin' men's room...

Maybe half the Repigs in Congress have been using that same tea room to engage in a little pud pulling.

Another Pervy Repig bites the dust...can't make this shit up!

I traveled twice in the last two years. In the
middle of the day at O'Hare airport I go into the mens room and just after washing my hands I see a guy at the nearby urinal very casually walk away holding his weewee in his hand in from of at least six people like it was nothing. It was not Craig
because the odds of it being him are too great
but, from what I remember, it looked like him.
You would never see stuff like that at Kennedy
in NYC-I had to go to Chicago, the great Midwest,
to see something really weird.

All an Idahomo like Craig has to do is embrace his insatiable craving for shlong. Scum like Hilary Rosen will then throw money his way and the majority of Idahomos will continue to support him for their shared hatred of representative democracy.Beltway scum wont skip a beat.

The whole thing is pathetic........

Okay, one's a cop looking for clowns like this....

But,...there's then also the toe tapping, the close foot, the hand swipe by the other fella.

The Conservative, Bush, family values Republican. (really closet queer)

The un-suspecting victom of a simple queer john sting which nets a US Senator.

Shouldn't have been looking for love in all the wrong places.

Explaining this to the wife = priceless.

Honey; you're never gonna believe this one.........

She: sucking dick again?

For far too long, gays have been needlessly denigrated and besmirched with a word more fitting of the members of the Republican party.
That word being: Faggot.
Faggot is defined as: the bundling of sticks or twigs to be used as fuel.

The GOP has done exactly this with each Presidential administration that we have seen, but never more so than the current crop.

These are the most faggoty bunch of fags to ever exist... and there are plenty of little worthless twigs who post here on Huffington who defend their master's will.

Has ever a bunch deserved to burn more?
I think not.

From this day forward, let all Republicans be called "faggots".
It will also help in that we will no longer be surprised when we hear of their bathroom escapades.

...and all those times that you saw pink elephants and thought that you were drunk.
HA!

I do not like hypocritical republicans. But I also do not like that my gay family, may they be out or closeted, is constantly being targeted with arrests and stings. Let them do it in the parks at night, and in private bathroom stalls if they want to. It doesn't hurt anyone.

Your gay family, within itself, is excellent at discriminating against minorities, lesbians and women in general. They make perfect republicans.

Has the Republic Party changed its name to the Closet Party? No one would ever suspect a Republican man of being gay! And yet it seems this party is absolutely crawling with closeted gay men!! But doesn't this make the Republic Party, the party of gay bashers, the perfect place for a secretly gay man to hide himself? I think perhaps it does!
