He knew all along what he was doing was wrong and basically evil. But he did it anyway.
When first confronted he LIED to everyone - from his team owner, to the NFL commisioner, to his fans and teammates, he LIED!
Now that his LIES and his CRUELTY has been admitted, he needs to serve his time and keep quiet. When he gets out, and finishes his NFL suspension, he should be allowed to try and comeback to football.
I hope he doesn't get taken by any team and that we'll never see him on a field again. I wouldn't support any team that ever hires him.

Unfortunately, dog fighting has become a badge of honor for many lowlifes. Many lowlifes end up in prison. Vick will be an unsung hero to many inmates. Hopefully, the guards at that prison will include many dog lovers; deserving inmates being escorted to seg "run into" many walls and posts on the way there. We can only hope he gets sent to seg.
I assume you believe Bob Barker is doing the animals a favor as well by asking people to spade and neuter their pets. I may be just a simple human, but I would rather fight to the death than be neutered. Bottom line, if he didn't hurt YOUR animal we have begun to "legislate taste". that is a VERY slippery slope.

I've never been a fan of dead animals hanging on walls, but that is for me and my house. I don't begrudge others their trophies. As long as the animals were killed quickly and humanely is where my concern lies. No endangered species or canned hunts.
And if they are dead, they are not being tortured.
What exactly is your argument? Are you excusing Vick and his behavior? Because he is a human and superior to the animals, he should be free to do as he pleases? Or is it that no animal should ever be killed?

You don't begrudge "trophies", as long as the kill was swift. I wonder if you would feel that way if you were the trophy. Everyone talks about dogs like helpless victims who suffer and die when they lose a match. Well, what makes an elk's death any different? No only is it sanctioned, but their heads are displayed like some badge of honor. At least the dogs get buried. These animals are hanging around people's walls; eyes looking at you. Is there not some perversity inherent in this acceptable custom? But, the powers have deemed this barbaric action is not only ok, but good enough to show off. Further, you don't know if the first shot killed the elk; it might have only been wounded, which surely happens. Isn't the animal suffering or ineffect being tortured until the hunter can find it and finish the job? This is hypocrisy personified...

Cats kill without always eating the prey. Dogs and wolves will kill sheep without eating them. My own dogs kill squirrels, moles and gophers without eating them.

The answer is not in banning the breed, but in banning irresponsible and perverted people from owning dogs (or any animal for that matter). Banning the breed is like blaming the victim.

Most hunters don't torture the animals. Hunting provides food and keeps animal populations down. And other than people like Dead-eye, Shoot-your-friends-in-the-face Dick, the majority of hunters are responsible people who strive for one-shot-one-kill, lessening the suffering of the animal as much as possible.

I'm 31 and black and I don't think it's primarily a racial issue, but I do believe that the INTENSITY of the hatred for Vick is increased because he is a dark-skinned, heterosexual black man. People are frothing at the mouth, and it's quite ridiculous. It's just a bunch of dogs.
