Tonight, following news of Sen. Larry Craig's (R-ID) guilty plea over lewd conduct in a public men's room, Craig resigned his position with the Romney campaign, and the Romney camp stripped his video endorsement from YouTube.

But MyDD's Todd Beeton has unearthed the video. Watch it:

Mitt "first and foremost is a very strong believer in family values..."

----which is why he double-crossed the gay community in Massachusetts on recognition of their Constitutional right to form families legally and is still spinning his different positions...

..."which is something I grew up with and believe in..."

----like the right of Little Larry and Little Mitty to play with each other's winkies in the basement...

...Mitt also recognizes that "government can be a partner or helper at times..."

----and they certainly do a great job of policing sex in public restrooms...

He first began to observe the Governor in Salt Lake as he acted for the Winter Olympics? Was he checking out Mitt's leadership potential or his ass?

Now would be a great time for the one's who know to come forward with little details. Maybe Sen. Larry Craig was one of the many important people of the state that went through great length to win the Olympic Games.

LOL, when I watched the video I thought the same thing. At the end when Larry crowed about Mitt's family values, I thought, yep. Now is Mitt a catcher or a receiver.

What I find ironic, Larry was Mittler's LAST queer supporter and now he's gone.

I am a democrat and think Craig is a gop tool. However, everyone once in awhile says something good.
This is one of them. clinton was a sleaze and a total let down to democrats everywhere and not just with Monica.
he threw our party under the bus and the working people of America.
Like the progressive blogger, matt stoller said in an interview, clinton was corrupt.
plain and simple.
it is time for the democrats to own up to the fact that Bill just was not all that. it is stupid to pretend otherwise then bash the republicans when we are blind to one of our own.
It is time to put the misty memories of clinton aside and look with open eyes. then move on with the future.

You Republicans are such idiots. Coming in here whining about Bill Clinton's penis fools no one. Why don't you try to address the numerous closeted and latent gay men in your own party, living in constant fear of exposure, living in self-loathing, looking for love in public restrooms. How pathetic. Quit pretending to be something you're not, and quit trying to use homophobic hatred, fear and rage to win elections.

You can look for love in many places, though I suspect that it was the last thing Larry Craig was seeking at that public men's room.

Cock, probably; but love, highly unlikely.

Dream on, little troll.
Clinton's legacy will long outlive the likes of you, a nobody with a keyboard and nothing to say.
I would not want to be you and have to look at myself in the mirror each day. That loser looking back, is you!

hey you are so right....
Clinton is to the Dems, as Reagan is to the pigs.
They both put into action ideas that are bringing this country down.

Galvestonian, you're right. It's funny how the two parties are all nostalgic about the gipper and clintster. Reagan fired the air traffic controlers, which started the anti-worker movement in this country. Clinton just finnished us off with all the "free trade" agreements. The reason for all the nostalgia is the current missadministration is so much worse than the previous 3 that we will take anything, it pains me to see that we have sunk so low.

I will take the 8 yrs of Bill Clinton over the Iran contra Reaganomic-trickle down yrs of Reagan; over the Saudi Arabia / Carlyle Group -- pat the saudi in the back while all along they were the chief axles of evil -- years of Bush1 and, definately over the last 61/2 yrs of mini me -- I am a tough guy in a fly suits who didn't show up for duty when my country needed me Bush2. Clinton was a dissappointment because he couldn't control himself on a personal level in the face of an enemy who spent 60 million bucks; I repeat, 60 million "in God we truth" Bucks trying to toppered his administration. At the time I thought it was a coup d'etat (and, I was right) in which one political party was trying to get reed of another whom have been a pain in their touchy. Well they succeeded. How else can you accounts for the collapse of the seperation of power that the fore fathers deligently instituted -- that it seems no one party could ever control all the arms of our government. wow! Were they wrong.

...and I am Nancy Reagan. You are going to eat every word you've posted and democrats are going to watch and roar laughing. You've no conception of the embarassment in store for you. I hope the few measly pennies you are being paid to prostitute yourself this way, are worth what passes for your self-esteem.

You gotta feel bad for all the closeted gay guys in the republican party. It must be hard to spend your life trying to convince people that you are "so NOT gay!"

Still, it's funny how much of the anti-gay republican party is gay, on the other hand, it's just sad.

Note to repubs: Don't fight it! Just come out of the closet! You'll be happier living an honest life.

It's okay to be gay, republicans.
It really is.

Is Senator Craig trying to recreate the neo-con's stereotypical idea of how a gay man speaks in the video or does he always talk that way? I wonder if Rep Foley spoke that way when he was still in the closet.

Whatever the details of Sen. Craig's public restroom adventure (pleading to a disorderly conduct charge is an option most perverts don't get), it's a strange testimonial this Senator makes to Mitt Romney.

The Winter Olympics?

That's the big feather in Romney's cap, getting the Winter Olympics for Salt Lake City?

If that's a qualification for the presidency, then which president was it, we elected for getting Lake Placid the Winter Olympics?

Gee, right now our next President has a lot of responsibilities he or she shall have to assume, rather quickly:

Not just U.S. Troops in Iraq, but a U.S. Army and Marine Corps critically over-extended, and short of manpower; in addition, the Department of Defense is out of control, and no longer works for the American People, and in the interests of their National Security, but presently is so infiltrated and corrupted by Defense Contractors, and the agents thereof, that our DOD now works for them, and in their interest of millions upon millions upon billions of dollars in revenues (Pentagon Military Officers now routinely "golden parachute" out of the DOD, and into the arms industry)...

Also, the Department of Justice could hardly be in a worse state, with the AG resigning almost for certain for reasons of firing U.S. Attorneys, and putting political hacks in their place...

And our Foreign Policy, and Foreign relations: The brand-name "United States of America" has rarely if ever fallen so low... do we even have a Secretary of State, and a State Department? And if so, what does it do, anything?

The CIA, Homeland Security, the integrity of our elections (and the electronic voting that threatens it)... and IRAQ, always IRAQ!

And so this public men's room swashbuckling pirate named Larry Craig, Senator from Idaho, knowing all of what I just listed as well as anyone I'd guess...

...and he thinks Mitt Romney can assume all those extraordinay responsibilities of our next president, based upon the qualifications that he got the Winter Olympics for Salt Lake City?

I think it's important to note that Mitt Romney didn't "get the Olympics for Salt Lake City"...he salvaged them from the scandals of bribery and incomptance. Being a former Salt Laker I followed this closely. That being said I wouldn't vote for Romney for anything. I find him to be intellectually dishonest and quite frankly his being a Republican is enough for me to disqualify him.
