10 Health Problems That Affect Sex
It's a common assumption: As we grow older, our sex lives deteriorate.
Fortunately for baby boomers, new research shows older adults' sexual activity has less to do with age than with overall health. The problem is that sexuality, and the impact a number of medical conditions and treatments can have on it, is still somewhat of a taboo topic in the doctor's office.
According to data from the University of Chicago's National Social Life, Health and Aging Project, published in The New England Journal of Medicine in August, in a survey of more than 3,000 people ages 57 to 85, only 38% of men and 22% of women had discussed sex with a physician since age 50.
