"If we bear guilt for not doing enough in the run-up to the war, I would argue that Katrina was the journalistic counterweight," he said. "We have done our jobs, and whether or not people like to see it, we have done our level best in trying to hold public officials accountable."

OH REALLY, BRIAN.

You give yourself a pass, because of your reporting of Katrina, when you say the media is "hold[ing] public officials accoutable". Really, you must be talking in the past tense. As it is business (or lack thereof) as usual.
Just look around, apparantly, they are not acting very accountable by the sorely lacking results.

Keep justifying your job and dogged journalism LMAO.

Bush is down for his yearly photo-op.

Last year he chose as his backdrop, a row of houses being built by Habitat for Humanity.

This was clearly meant to mislead the public, and lead them to believe it was a location being restored by the govenment.

What a slime ball.

Well, Mr. President, are you proud of all the accomplishments you have achieved with New Orleans these last two years?

A disgrace, just like everything else with this administration.
