The Party of Shirkers, that's our GOP. Don't EVER expect them to actually take it on the chin.

On another gay note, I saw Tucker yesterday quivering with anger over the incident demanding to know from a reporter why Craig's misconduct was news. Gee, ummmm, I don't know Tucker, could it be his stances on gay issues? How about the fact that a Senator pled guilty to perversion in a public place? Tucker was probably upset that his favorite DC after dinner mint was no longer going to be available to him in the Senate clubs.

Can you imagine how brazen and horny Senator Craig was to go into a public (airport no less) bathroom and try to get some? It is obvious he has done it a million times and probably knows every gay peephole/stall west of the Mississippi. When the full story is told, he will become the Freddy Mercury of politicians.

Why should your tax dollars be used to entrap gay men in public restrooms?
07:53 PM on 08/30/2007
Don't know much about the law of entrapment, do ya? Here's a primer on it from Wikipedia:

"Entrapment is a legal defense by which a defendant may argue that he or she should not be held criminally liable for actions which broke the law, because he/she was induced (or entrapped) by the police to commit those acts. For the defense to be successful, the defendant must demonstrate that the police induced an otherwise unwilling person to commit a crime."

Given the allegations of similar behavior over the years, do you actually believe that Craig can demonstrate that was induced to commit a crime he otherwise would have been unwilling to commit? Get real.

If Bill Clinton was a "nasty, bad, naughty boy" for having the kind of sex that Republicans publicly approve of (heterosexual), just what kind of boy is Craig for soliciting the kind of sex that Republicans publicly condemn (homosexual) with hellfire and brimstone?

So Senator Craig would wipe his behind with something that was on the floor.

YES.. WTF.. JaysusMaryMotherandJoseph!! I believe him.. He isn't Gay.. he is just Shithouse Rat Crazy.. No Gay man I know would ever dream of picking up a scrap of toilet paper from the FilthyNasty floor of a Airport Bathroom..

If that was indeed what he was doing.. not only should he have not pled guilty.. he should have demanded some type of commendation for his intense focus on the cleanliness of our Airport Bathrooms..

"Vote Craig.. Not afraid to get his hands dirty.. literally.."

They're kinda funny, those Republicans...

They're more upset that Craig made a casual pass at another adult male, rather than the fact that he made that pass in a dirty, skanky public restroom.

Gay or not, what sleeze ball would want sex in a public toilet?

So, Senator "I am not gay" Craig?

How do you feel now about the government recording your conversations without your consent or knowledge?

Karma's a bitch, huh?

Oh my.
My my my.
Suddenly it all becomes so clear.

The reason that Republicans don't want young gay men in the military is because they don't want to risk losing their primary source of their lusts to be killed or wounded in that quagmire that the news people don't speak of any more... Mesopotamia?

I'm just a *very* old lady... I forget the name.

And all this time, I thought that those Republicans were just being mean - turns out that they're just shy Sodomites covering their assets.

And who can say what a PTSD'd gay soldier - who's just spent 15 months in a platoon of strictly hetero hunks witnessing only the dumbest mindfuck of a war in the history of our once-proud military and country - will do when he comes home.

If this is the only evidence on the arrest, (I know there is the guilty plea) I would have to say the police would have to get a bit smarter and use video evidence. As in these kinds of cases, it's he said and she said! Frankly, that's not good enough!
I don't doubt that Craig attempted to solicit sex but this is not solid evidence!

Which is worse--Sen. Craig or US troops?

"Practically ignored in the Abu Ghraib torture scandal are the Iraqi female prisoners who have told their attorneys they were raped by U.S. soldiers. The Taguba report confirms that some women were indeed raped by American G.I.'s. There is one photo of an American soldier [raping] an Iraqi woman. And there is the by now infamous story of how American soldiers harnessed a 70-year-old woman and rode her around, calling her a donkey.

"One hint of the rape aspect of the torture scandal came last December, when a note smuggled out of Abu Ghraib by a female prisoner claimed that American guards were raping the female detainees. There are few women in the prison; the note said some of the women were now pregnant. According to a report last week in The Guardian (U.K.), the note urged the Iraqi resistance to bomb the jail to spare the women further shame. Amal Kadham Swadi, one of seven Iraqi female attorneys who are attempting to represent detained women, visited a detainee at a U.S. military base in Baghdad last November and later told The Guardian, 'She was the only woman who would talk about her case. She was crying. She told us she had been raped. Several American soldiers had raped her. She had tried to fight them off, and they had hurt her arm. She showed us the stitches. She told us, 'We have daughters and husbands. For God's sake don't tell anyone about this.'

"Although the Taguba report makes specific reference to the abuse of female Iraqi prisoners, the Bush administration has refused to release photos of Iraqi women forced at gunpoint to bare their breasts—no doubt to spare Bush, Cheney, and Rumsfeld further embarrassment.

Why do you present this as an "either/or" question? Is it not possible for BOTH to be utterly reprehensible and worthy of condemnation?
05:52 PM on 08/30/2007
First, before anything else, he is an ADULTERER.

What does his church say about that? HUH?

I bet that has been forgotten.

I REPEAT WHAT HAS BEEN SAID BEFORE, the greatest threat to marriage is the combination of cheating, adultery and divorce. GLBT People don't have the sheer numbers to overcome simply straight cheating, adultery and divorce.

I have 1000 times more pity for this mutherfocker than I have hate. But how much hate do I have for this evil person? Leave room.... He is a lying sack of garbage for what he has said in public both about himself and GLBT people. He is a filthy fascist.

Pity.

Ugh.

Uncle Bucky - You know, Canadian reformation churches have supported GLBT rights, especially the Marriage Act.

Fundamentalists like Craig ( he is a conservative in a moderate UMC) speak to the LDS majority in his state. Episcopal clergy who serve or have served in their native UT have told me about the untold heterosexually married gay men who engage in cottaging and more in that state.

Since Senator Scumbag admitted that their feet touched and he put his hand under the wall of the stall and he pled guilty, I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that he was trying to get some gay action.

But, in the future, when someone who is caught in the same circumstance but doesn't plead guilty, why don't the cops have a very small camera taped to the stall door pointing down to the floor so they can have it ON TAPE if anyone on either side of that stall reaches under with their tapping foot, waving hand or a handwritten sign that says, "I'm a gay Republican Senator who lives with my wife in a sham marriage and I deny my homosexuality by voting and speaking against any and all bills dealing with gay rights. Will you please let me blow you?"
