The SENATOR must have been on bathroom patrol. Who would reach down and pick up a piece of toilet paper off the floor for any reason??? Yea, Larry must be practicing being a janitor after he leaves the Senate.
"I am not gay", which must mean: I only clean up airport toilets after looking through the stall door for several minutes before going into the stall next to that person. (This fact is not on most news reports)

My American friends say that the way that the MSM is editing the debate is to discuss the Craig scandal as opposed to the Vitter scandal.

What is a conscious choice is to engage in self-hatred, and choose a political path that destroys the just hopes and desires for equal freedom under law for gays and lesbians. I don't think the cops story proves anything about Craig. as a straight female-I have no idea about such "signals". craig said he did not either. How does foottouching or reaching under a stall-prove a man guilty of solicitation? I don't see it.
Just becasue the cop is in vice to look for such signals-does not mean those signals are illegal-nor do they prova anything. I think this cop was overzealous to make an arrest.

I have interrogated many a suspect. Craig has all the classics of a suspect trying to get out of going to jail.
For example, he says he widens his stance/legs so that his pants don't touch the floor. Implicit in this is that he does not want his pants to touch the filthy bathroom floor.
If this is so, what is he doing reaching down the floor to pick up a piece of toilet paper? Although his story was incomplete as to why he felt compelled to pick up a piece of toilet paper [e.g. he dropped it or he was being a good citizen picking up litter], regardless of the reason, there is no way someone concerned about his pants touching the floor would reach down and pick up a piece of toilet paper, especially if the toilet paper fell to the floor from someone else using the roll.
He also initially admitted to his foot touching the officer, then deciding to take on the officer's account, he says he could not recall it touching.
And I can assure you, when suspects repeatedly say they are not going to fight, they don't want to go to jail, and they do not intend to go to court, those are signs of a guilty mind.
And lastly, notice the entire tone of Craig is not indignation or shock at being accused, he simply tries to argue. If he was not guilty we would have heard Craig protesting the entire time. He would have told the guy he was going to have his job, asked for his supervisor, said he was going to have the Governor investigate the department and any other threats a falsely accused U. S. Senator could come up with.
Craig was a nervous suspect arguing with the officer to escape going to jail. A suspect who later mulls over his options and on thinking he can quietly plead guilty, he does so.
Good analysis. Just another case of the "dog that didn't bite." Sa,e with, well, uh, Michael Vick on the perp walk.
I can't believe with everything else that is going on with our government right now and the slaughter going on in Iraq that this is even considered news. Seems to me like a massive effort at diversion from what's going on with the Iraq report that the White House is trying to make go away. This is such a ridiculous thing for the media to be obsessing over. Ok - he got busted TRYING to get laid in a nasty bathroom. He's paying the price - now let's focus on some REAL news of some importance.
