WASHINGTON - Tony Snow, the highly visible White House press secretary, will leave his job on Sept. 14 and be replaced by his deputy, Dana Perino, an administration official said Friday.

But the guy has Cancer, recurrent. I gotta have compassion for that and send some healing energy his way.

Tony Snow looks like he has aged 20 years over the past six months. The job has taken a toll on him. Having to defend the indefensible can do that.

So this is pretty clear the Press Secretaries job is to spar with the press to keep them from knowing what needs to be known.

1. "A way we can understand," the big duummies that we are, she can tell us what we need to know to attempt keeping a lid on our outrage.

The press needs to be handled so that they won't get too far in their questions.

I did not respect Tony Snow as a journalist, nor did I consider him a credible white house representative. I think he was very condescending and smart-alecky just like his boss.
However as a person who had three of my four grandparents battle colon cancer and ultimately die of the disease, I feel deep pity for Tony Snow. Colon cancer is a terrible disease that causes its victims terrible pain and suffering. There is not a doubt in my mind that the man is in the latter stages of the cancer and is in fact dying. He looks horrible and is obviously weak. I cannot imagine him going back to Fox or any other job---he needs a rest and time with his family. He should take his White House pension and be happy with that with what time he has left. I hope his suffering is minimal and he and his family find peace in his remaining days.
Ari Fleischer was the best liar that ever stood before that podium. Ari could spout the bull and do it in the most condescending manner possible. He could deliver that made-up garbage as if he was imparting some great truth to the audience.
