WASHINGTON - Tony Snow, the highly visible White House press secretary, will leave his job on Sept. 14 and be replaced by his deputy, Dana Perino, an administration official said Friday.

He was entertaining, to say the least. Not as easy on the eyes as Dana Perino, but wittier and a lot snappier.

I despise rebubbicans. Each and every one of them. Having said this, I wish him and his family well, and hope he is able to beat this re-occurrence. Brings Lee Atwater to mind, doesn't it.

Frankly, I'm concerned. All the articles I'm reading about the run-up and selling of the coming war with Iran places the initiation of this illegal war around the middle of September; along with the massive Spyder put options of the S&P 500.
Coincidently, we get the resignations of Gonzalez, Rove, & Snow. Maybe these guys know something we don't. Maybe they don't have the stomach for the potential for a nuclear showdown over Iran; and the imposition of martial law in its wake.
Dana Perino should be just as interesting and informative as Snow was.
She, like Snow, doesn't answer the press's questions, she serves as chief promoter for everything the Bush White House does.
With a perfect administration what do you expect?

C'mon, people, look at him in the photo, he's very sick, possibly dying, for pity's sake. Show some class. Yeah, he's served as the face of a criminally corrupt administration, and for that he deserves condemnation, but please, show some measure of perspective.
That being said, if it was Cheney, or Junior soon to be facing oblivion eternal, I'd walk to my local, ask for a shot of the most expensive single malt on hand, and drink to their demise.

From the political perspective - good bye and good riddance. From the medical perspective, best wishes for the future. He has a tough and uncertain road ahead of him.
He stayed too long, I think, as a move for sympathy. He'd take a lot more shots if he didn't look like he'd be dead in a week. This WH administration thinks along those lines, how to make announcements to draw the least criticism. Snow is still a lying POS who's done untold damage to this country through his disinformation work for the White House. No matter how sick he is, he's still a person who's done a lot of bad things for bad reasons.
It's a shame that he had to leave this way. Lie as much as he did, he was great at his job and he is perhaps one of the few members of this administration that never f***ed anything up.
