WASHINGTON - Tony Snow, the highly visible White House press secretary, will leave his job on Sept. 14 and be replaced by his deputy, Dana Perino, an administration official said Friday.

Tony Snow did provide good entertainment, but did he really buy the shtick he's selling? His cancer might be the real reason behind his resignation, but the reason he gave was they ran out of the dollars he demands.
Seems to me he is more of a paid political whore than someone committed to the president.
If snow happens to beat this cancer, good for him. I just hope he does it quietly. After 9/14 the only thing I want to hear about him is his eventual passing.

One little footnote during the Rove Resignation was that the administration asked that all high level appointees either quit by the end of september or stay on through the end. Considering his health conditions and grumbling about money I was not surprized at the choice.
