Within hours, the letters to the editor started coming in. "Condoleezza Rice serves an administration that has trashed the basic values of academia: reason, science, expertise, and honesty. Stanford should not welcome her back," wrote Don Ornstein, identified by the newspaper as an emeritus professor of mathematics in a letter published May 31.

Online comments on the newspaper's Web site were even harsher, a veritable stream of vitriol. One of the milder posts came from Jon Wu, who did not give an affiliation: "Please go away, Rice. We don't want someone who is responsible for the slaughter of an entire nation teaching at our school."

What about all the people that have been killed in Iraq? Does she take any responisbility for those at all? Or are they all just a huge inconvenienece that keeps her away from important things like shopping? No wonder she's the most hated provost at Stanford.

Ms Rice says, "I would do a simulation with students, where they are given a problem, some hot spot in the world, and over a week they'd have to be the national security advisor solving those problems. All of a sudden, it doesn't look so easy."
Well "Con", why don't you give yourself that test and see how you'd do, but wait a minute, you actually had that "simulation" numerous times for real and you failed miserably and should have been fired. As for the Iraq war being a "stain" on your legacy, there are far too many "stains" that will be attached to your "legacy" such as the North Korean fiasco, the Middle East debacle, Katrina(how are those Ferragamo shoes?). You will also be remembered as being a focal point for the "worst" administration in this country's history!

Rice like the rest of the Bush crime family should rot in hell. As for her future, she has not satisfied right-wing nuts which cuts million dollar lecture fees. She will however be employable in the corporate sector!

Iraq is not the only stain on her legacy, but don't worry girl, you are not alone as there will be many with stains from the past six years! Including Mr. Powell, who smartly got out early, yet stupidly has not opened up to the American people and the world about what a sham this administration has been.

Kinda makes you wish for the return of the gap dress stain!

Her legacy will come from her two roles at Bu$hCo headquaters:

Part one - when, as Security Advisor, she acted to give Bu$h his excuses for going into Iraq.

Part two - what she has done since becoming Sec't. of State.

Part one has caused the deaths of countless thousands of Americans, British, Australians - and Iraqui civilians. That will always be the first thing people think of when they see her name.

Part two has been years of unsuccessful attempts to find peace in the Middle East. But no treaties... not a one.

I feel sorry for Stanford - but that is what they get for giving her a sabatical instead of telling her to just call them when she finished being a spokes-fool for Bu$hCo.

But imagine how FABULOUS her shoes will look as she walks around the campus, while being shunned by all the students and alumni.

Please Condi don't go back to Stanford, go to Harvard or Yale - you know those elite Ivy schools who produce the likes of GW Bush who by the way is still struggling to put a simple sentence together

Condi's legacy will be the mystefying actions of a very accomplished woman turned betrayer and murderer in her role as governess to the young antichrist George Bush. Condi will be remembered with Powell, Benedict Arnold, and Judas.

LEGACY? How does this woman even get up in the morning?

Her "legacy" is Iraq and the thousands upon thousands of lives destroyed by this unnecessary war.

You know what they say, Condi, roll around in the mud with the pigs and you will get dirty. The disasterous decisions you made to help enable this illegal and immoral war will go with you to you grave.

when you put her name along side James Baker, or Zbigniew Brzrezinski she should have stayed home in the kitchen because she has totally wasted tax payer money.
