New York Times:

In response to Mr. Draper's observance that Mr. Bush had nobody's "shoulder to cry on," the president said: "Of course I do, I've got God's shoulder to cry on, and I cry a lot." In what Mr. Draper interpreted as a reference to war casualties, Mr. Bush added, "I'll bet I've shed more tears than you can count as president."

Yet Mr. Bush said his certainty that Iraq would turn around for the better was not for show. "You can't fake it," he told Mr. Draper in December.

Humanity reeks in the human carnage done in the name of someone's messiah so as to disguise greed or coveting of another's things. Humanity's religions are now posed to literally destroy the Eden everyone's Creator made for us as its true gardeners sharing its bounty without committing fratricide in the name of someone's interpretation of their religious text transcribed by people of power and the elite from centuries old oral stories of the original followers of Christ and his other given names based upon one's religion?
The one prevalent problem with interpretations is what stays or left out and upon whose authority was it made. So in essence centuries of human carnage invoked by religious dogma or justification has been based on a transcribed version of events that was then taught as dogma to accepting followers never knowing what in fact was left out or tweaked.
Followers of Family Values, mega-churches, evangelicals and GOP morality members affirm within yourselves nature changes seasons, animals naturally migrate, and humanity imbued with its inner spirituality requires no leader since it's better to follow the inner truths from within oneself than hitch one's anchor to a leader possesing self serving needs that requires dissembling of truths. World leaders are posed to destroy Eden beneath our very feet when allow them and ourselves to self righteously destroy one another with each murderous blow and religious justified killing of the other where ever it may occur on earth while vainly possessing the self annointed certitude of Lucifer before his castigation.
We are destroying ourselves and Eden due to the religious hatred those who would present themselves as so pious, so assured, yet think nothing of imposing their beliefs upon another even if that results in subjugation and death.
What gained to humanity would result if our self anointed delusional Godliness results in the destruction of Eden began when man first committed the first killing of another and will end the same way?

Piety is not a virtue to hold against another because it then becomes a weapon of pride the deadliest sin of all.

Continued.
(4) In the short term we need to mount protests around plants of every company supporting a warmonging politician, boycott them, and make it hurt financially to be on the side of war. If we have influence with labor we might consider other merthods such as striking to attack them. If we merely march around for a day or so now, nobody weill care. And the warmonger devils will only laugh.

We can observe the phoniness of George W. Bush anytime we like.
But nevertheless the little bastard's God is going to tell him to attack Iran and you will do nothing effective to prevent it.
Here are some things I think will help:
(1) If you are involved in education in any way or just a concerned citizen you might ask for the reinstatement of the teaching of civics. Our nation lost a lot when civic responsibility and ethics stopped being discussed seriously in school. Obviously there is not much discussion of those topics in our media.
(2) Americans know very little about the world, its peoples and what they are doing. How many of your friends know how many homeruns Alex Rodriguez has hit this season? And how many know that international inspectors have certified that Iran is not working on a plutonium project to make bombs? Which of those do you consider more important? Why is it that our media gives so much sports and so little real information about an issue our government lies about seeking to start a war? We should contact our media with demands for more real news, more truth, and less baloney about celebrities, etc. I like Alex, but war with Iran because some stupid president hopes to please Israel is more important.
(3) We need to institute real election reforms to make our government responsive to the will of the people. Barry Goldwater had some great suggestions in "Conscience of a Conservative" which we should review and act upon. Another thing that would help more than any one single thing I can think of: we need "instant run-off voting." That would make it possible to vote our true desires without "losing our vote" by voting for a third party. It is too easy for the rich corporations and PACS to dominate the current system. Which is why the big two do not differ on the issues those big sources have interest in. And the politicians are responsive to them what put them in their positions.

In the Draper article, Bush comments on his unpopularity by responding rhetorically "the fundamental question is the world better off because of my leadership."
Who is this man? Has he not have eyes and ears? Cannot he see the devastation? Is he unable to hear the wail of millions? It is hard to have compassion for this man. He wants to come off as caring but callous and indifferent is all I can see. Two weeks ago, I had an Iraqi (Shiite) cab driver here in SF between the anger and the disbelief, his tears were real. I don't believe that he has God's shoulders to cry on nor his mother's. She had been killed in 2004.

God has shoulders, who knew? The man is delusional and trust me we all cry a lot.
I cried the night war began, I stayed up listening to Celine Dion's I Drove All Night endlessly. My tears flowed. And they continued to flow as I mourn two countries torn asunder.
When he makes comments such as these, my ire is raised but then I think of Molly Ivins. My how much I do I miss her wit. She would have loved this.

Draper is part of what I call the 'gaggle of whores' whose assignment is to set a sympathetic tone towards this administration in what will undoubtedly be the most damning legacy for any administration in the last century. The history of the Bush administration will ultimately be written by people who are not cozy with Bush and his inner circle. I believe that people like Draper are jumping the gun in a way. They will produce a barrage of sympathetic biographies, and ghost-written autobiographies very early on, in an historical timeline. These writings will be forgotten by the time serious analyses are published. Those analyses will not be flattering and they will be the ones that are remembered in posterity.

Poor pathetic confused and arrogant Jr. He thinks he's a great man, he thinks God talks to him, he says nobody cries as much as him!
Maybe the parents, children, wives and husbands of the dead soldiers cry more then you! I'm sure the Iraqi mothers and fathers and children who have buried thousands upon thousands of their people, cry more then you.
The families of our soldiers still there fighting, who have not seen these fine people for months and months and years and years, because your hell bent on destroying our country, cry more then you.
The American people cry more then you, for all the loss of life you have caused in the United States name.
God cries Jr. for all the reasons above and that we as a country, allowed such an inept person to weild so much power. He cries for us all.
For every parent out there with kids close to graduation. Maybe next time you vote you will think about what impact that's going to have on them. They may be boarding a plane for Iraq for Bush's ten year WAR, which will be continued by any GOPER elected.

Will W record the c & w song, "I've got tears in my beer crying over you.", or do a parody, "I've got tears in my ears from standing on my head crying over you."? There's also Nipsey Russell's take on "Cry me a river." called "Fry me some liver.". W & Sen Craig could team up to be the 21st century's version of Homer & Jethro.
