AP:

President Bush made a surprise visit to Iraq on Monday, using the war zone as a backdrop to argue his case that the buildup of U.S. troops is helping stabilizing the nation.

The president secretly flew 11 hours to Iraq as a showdown nears with Congress over whether his decision in January to order 30,000 more U.S. troops to Iraq is working.

Bush either has the biggest caonies ever, an IQ under 45 or is so desperate for positive propaganda, Karl Rove told him to go to Iraq and create some.

So Bush makes a McVAIN like trip to Anbar.

After all of the negative reports last week on Iraq, Maliki now feels BETRAYUS will give a positive report. And the public relations spin begins!

This will almost assure that there will be very little rethug support on troop withdrawal!

Nice when the president makes a surprise that doesn't involve the words he speaks.

Our slim, trim, President visits our troops, while the pasty, overweight, drugged up, huffpuppy pounds the keyboard, and actually thinks it's exercise. Look at his picture, and then, take look in the mirror. Get it.

Slim, trim and dim, but what's his weight got to do with anything? If being in shape is what makes a good President, vote for Richard Simmons.

When is this FOOL going to stop wasting the tax payers' money with his stupid photo op junkets to Iraq??? I'll bet our troops would MUCH prefer to be brought HOME and then invited to a big barbecue on the lawn of the White House. A MUCH better use of our money! I feel for the troops who have to stand and smile as though they're HAPPY to see this idiot!! I guarantee they would rather see their families in their own home towns!!!

You KNOW the surge is working when the Commander-In-Chief has to sneak in and out of Iraq so he isn't assassinated by the Iraqis or Al-Qaeda!!! "You're doing a heckovajob,Chimpy"!!!

He had to find a way onto the news to spread the surge propaganda.

As usual, Michael Ware of CNN cuts through Bush's distortions, pointing out that what we are actually doing is arming militia in Al Anbar who are the sworn enemies of the Maliki government. We are contributing to the civil war, but Bush will distort it to make it sound like the flowers and kisses are flowing in Al Anbar, and all the happy munchins will soon dance with Condi down the yellow brick road to Baghdad.

It is the rite of passage for the ruling coward class to travel to lands where they have slaughtered thousands and preach their morality.

Iran is kind of funny, it's one of the biggest oil producers in the world, yet it imports huge amounts of gasoline, it's the second largest importer of gas on earth.

The reason why they do this is because the Iranians don't have the technical know-how to refine enough gas for their own country.

In fact crazy as it sounds they even RATION gas!

A nice show of support for the American worker on this national holiday , our "Labor" day.
Oh yes, also the day the Mexicans started driving trucks on our American highways.

Uh...how many people actually celebrate the American worker on Labor Day???
You can pretend that you do, but we all know that you are grilling in your backyard like the rest of us.

Attention Media: You should show video clips of Bush's comments when he stood before the "Mission Accomplished" sign with today's photo op. The unbiased media must take a stand against organizations with political agendas such as Fox and this administration. I'm sure the two speeches are eerily similar, "we're making progress," "we're fighting for freedom" "you're doing a good job," "better to fight them over here than over there." If the public could see what a dangerous manipulator Bush is, they would not allow him to cause the deaths of any more of our troops. Today's photo op is no different than Bush's disastrous mission accomplished photo op.
