Humans are animals. That's most of our problem. We think we're special, god favored. From the looks of things right now, the biological experiment of the large brained, bipedal mammal is an evolutionary dead end. Try chimera, trans-species or human/non-human embryos.

Oh, I get it now! The zealots are against using embryos for research that might help people with spinal injuries, diabetes, and a whole long list of other diseases. But it's ok to use embryos for these frankenstien experiments?

The reason they want to do this is because they know they are going to run out of human beings who are stupid enough to be cannon fodder anymore. What better answer than to crate some half human/half animal creature to send off to battle and scare the shit out of our enemies--which, by the way, are growing larger with every minute that Bush is still in the White House, fucking up the whole world with his "make peace by making war" philosophy.
