Gore: Clinton Can't Count On My Endorsement

First Posted: 03/28/08 03:45 AM ET Updated: 05/25/11 01:15 PM ET

Associated Press:

Democrat Al Gore says he will probably endorse one of his party's 2008 presidential candidates. And it won't necessarily be Hillary Rodham Clinton, the wife of his former boss.

"Uh...no," the former vice president told 02138 magazine when asked if he feels "some obligation" to endorse the senator from New York.

Last time around, as I recall, he endorsed Howard Dean, who promptly YEE-HAHed himself out of the lead.

Of course, way back then he hadn't yet emerged from the outer darkness as THE GOREACLE, either.

Hillary doesn't deserve Gores endorsement or our votes either.

America needs far more than rethug-lite after the many treasons of BushCo.

Romney can run against her as a "family values" candidate very successfully, I think.

At least we can't accuse Gore of being a hypocrite.

Now can we get him to run for re-election?

I wish he would. He'd win easily. And I think he would be a good president now, certainly better than he would have been in 2000, when he won the election.

As for Hillary, haven't we seen enough Bushism already. His popularity is low, so why should hers be higher when she is the same old sh..?

I wish he'd run on the Green ticket.

Gore goes to Bilderberg Group meetings so he is one of the elite. This doesn't give me hope in Gore.

Dissembler!

Going to meetings and joining a few very important 'clubs' does not mean anything past networking with influential people.

Just like john Edwards, traveling in elite crowds does not mean that you are joined at the hip with these corporatists. It means you are keeping in touch with realities that must be dealt with.

Yes, and he is part of the Annunaki Reptilian-Humanoid (Reptoid) agenda to enslave the world...

I don't think it is any secret that Al Gore can't stand Hillary Clinton. I think that is exactly why he will not run because it would be a bloodbath between Gore and the Clintons and I can't imagine he wants to put himself or his family through that.

gvincent, what are you drinking? Gore could whip all the current candidates' collective butts!!

All he has to do is throw his hat into the ring and its all over for the other candidates. The only thing for them to do would be to draw straws to see which of them would be Gore's VP.

Im putting myself out on a limb here, but I would bet that Gore will declare sometime at the end of this year.

Wait for it!!

Gore couldn't beat anybody. All he has done is make himself that much more polarizing since losing in 2000, he's become the liberals dream candidate and a sure fire lock to lose the general. Nor should he be endorsing Hillary. He's worked with her, and he has seen first hand how unfit she is to run a country. He'll endorse her if she wins the primaries, but I'm sure he'd like to see Obama or Richardson take it.

Romney can probably beat Hillary.

And Gore can probably beat Romney--if he'd run.

Oh, yes--Meowww--BUT WAIT......

The actual headline for this article from the AP is:

"Gore Likely to Endorse Before Primaries"

NOT:

"Clinton Can't Count On My Endorsement"

AND, in fact those words cannot be found anywhere in the entire article!!!

So what gives?

If I didn't know I was reading HuffPo, I'd swear I had stumbled onto a MSM story from 2000 with the usual distortions and half truths that cost Gore the Presidency in the first place.

Read all about it in the new Vanity Fair.

Then ask yourself if we are not supposed to hold our reporting to a higher standard to avoid this sort of yellow journalism?
