What kind of sick McLogic is this.... If anything, you combat global warming by banning the damned beef, if not, you raise the price tenfold. What changes has McDonalds made? McDonalds is the damned cause of the problem, certainly not the effin solution! Ray Kroc developed the business model used by most retail companies worldwide. It is management from the top down with all wages and all decision micro-managed from the top.

The caste system is simple. All "real" executive management is headquartered and office at the main corporate office.

The Regional Manager or District Manager is responsible for the management of dozens of outlets. With the VP of Operations, he sets the budget, and creates the amount of hours and what salaries are paid to the "untouchables". This includes time off without pay during the middle of a shift.

If the regional or district manager is the real management in dozens of stores under their authority, what is the "general manager" of the local store? This title is disingenuous. It is for the customer to feel his complaints are heard by someone in authority. In reality, he cannot even order toilet paper without the real (RM or DM) approval.

Next, Kroc said that to ensure that everyone understood this, no assistant manager or supervisor could be hired by a "general manager" alone. The RM or DM hires ALL management in stores to assure no collusion between the two or more "on site supervisors" with empty titles.

Then the untouchables. The countless workers who are hired from the student population and adult underclass. No rights, no benefits, and total exploitation.

Walton thought that Kroc was a genius . I know of no mall stores or other national chains that do not use this model exclusively.
