Obama: I've Passed More Bills Than Either Clinton, Edwards

Des Moines Register:

Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama told a crowd here today that he has been more successful than his key rivals, Hillary Clinton and John Edwards.

"I've passed more bills, I'm sure, than either of them. Certainly on the state legislative level," Obama said in response to an audience question that he doesn't have enough experience.

Campaign spokesmen for Clinton and Edwards were not immediately available for comment.

Obama also told the crowd that President Bush has perfected the art of divisive politics.

"The problems we face precede George Bush," Obama said. "George Bush and Karl Rove perfected the divisive special interests we've seen but it wasn't original to them."

Go for Ron Paul
Sometimes the answer is to set the engines at warp nine and head for the center of the sun to burn off the slime creatures from outer space.

I like Ron Paul. I'm supporting Edwards. What I love is your space line. Best laugh I've had all day!

None of the top three candidates have executive experience except Hillary's foray into healthcare reform. And we know what came out of that. John nor Hillary have done anything to help more than an handful of people in their lives. Obama has worked accross party lines to help thousands of people. And you do need to know how to led congress. LBJ was great at getting his agenda pass. Voting rights, civil rights, head start, higher education, affirmative action but he was a lousy commander in chief. Obama knows how to get things done and he also knows how to lead. John, only knows how to pout and say everyone give up your suv's but i'll keep mine and hillary will sell her soul if she already hasn't for the nomination.

And he is correct. Obama has passed more bills in the last two and a half years than any Senator in Washington. No one even comes close.

If you go to www.obama.senate.gov, there is a complete rundown.

Go Barack.

No wonder, the Republicans like his bills. Lets see him get health care for the middle class with every Republican and all the democrats money can buy against it.

We need a David to beat the big money Goliath.
David did not win over Goliath by making friends with him.

Look at this crap The Coburn-Obama law. The anme alone should tell you. religious republican nutjob Tom Coburn has his name on it too.

This bill call for creating an internet database to track all federal spending. it is earmarked to University of Chicago. The GAO and CBO already have computers. This is just welfare for web hacker layed off in the internet bust.

Another nutjob bill is the Obama law to let the Bankrupt Tithe to their church. This is just a way to let corporate crooks hide 10% of their cash money with Pat Robertson.

The deeper you dig the worse Obama looks.

Ugh. More O-Bomb-A talking down to everyone - part of the reason he's starting to tank in the polls. Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. You don't have the experience to be in the White House.

Voting to pass a bill is hardly worth mentioning on a resume for an executive position. None of the candidates have the management creds , and electing any of these people will give this country yet another President who will have to "learn on the job."

I cry for this country. I want Wes Clark.

"voting to pass a bill is hardly worth mentioning on a resume for an executive position"

Who said he was just talking about his "votes" on particular bills? He is referring to the fact that he has written a great number of bills during his tenure in the U.S. Senate, and, while he was a member of the Illinois State Senate, he was "the go to guy" for both Republicans and Democrats. All you you would need to do is GOOGLE the articles that have been written about his tenure as a state senator.

I want Wes Clark too. I want him to be Obama's VP.

HaHaHa! SeanGardner-are you joking! HaHaHa! Wes Clark as BozObama's VP?! HaHaHa!!!!!

Poopy bills in State Congress? Give me a break! What an amateur. No wonder Hillary didn't waste her time commenting on this.

HaHaHa!!!!

Ah! The fluff and empty rhetoric continues! "Passing bills" is voting for a bill that passes. Now that's "achievement" I suppose?!

Now to all those Barack Hussein and Edwards supporters: PLEASE list ONE, just ONE ground breaking legislation, authored, co-authored and tabled by either of these "hot air" candidates?!

ONE single earth shattering legislation that can anyway compare to Hillary's efforts on Universal Health Care. AND, before all the wide-eyed Hillary bashers jump all over this one, please to remember that the left wing icon, Michael Moore has gone on record praising those very efforts and how it was stymied by the Repugnants!
