Germany did not send troops to Iraq. Nonetheless, Islamic terrorists from an al-Qaida-influenced group were arrested on suspicious of plotting imminent, massive bomb attacks in Germany.

So they've been watching these guys for months but decided to arrest them today. Just in time for Bush to show us how we need his protection. Please people. You won't even remember this happened or who thses people are after Bush gets to keep his surge and a vote on immunity for illegal wiretapping.

What are these terrorists doing in Germany??? We're investing a LOT of money and lives (ours and Iraqi) in Iraq to make sure that they'll fight us only in Iraq and nowhere else. These guys are just not playing fair -- or at least aren't playing by Cheney/Bush's rules.

Anyway, it looks like the German polizei caught these guys through good old-fashioned police work. No preemptive invasions of countries, no preemptive surveillance of German citizens, no violating German law, just good police work that will support a strong case in open court, without the need to constantly change a set of vague charges against the defendants.

I'm glad to see a competent government at work. I just wish that mine was.

Last year, the German arrested a couple of Lebanese who were carrying bombs aboard an InterCity Express. Good they were caught, otherwise a lot Germans and others would have met a fiery end.

Wow. You mean this plot was foiled by law enforcement and good policework and nobody had to invade and foreign countries or anything?
