The ancient Romans sometimes gave their children simple names like "Third," "Fourth," "Fifth."

The only such Latin name I know of that exists today is the name "Quincy," which comes from the Latin "Quintus," which means "fifth."

Sounds like a good idea to me....

I don't like these idiotic names Americans invent for their children: "Sky"? "Ally"? "Montana"? "MacKenzie"? People should give their children real names, not these names they find in baby books written by idiots.

And what about almost all American women thinking they're "cute" by spelling their name in a new stupid way? I've seen "Debbie" spelled ten different ways, and no, it does NOT make you "creative" or "different" or "special" just by spelling your name that way!

The slums of Venezuela are worse than the New Orleans of TODAY. In fact, that's how bad Hugo Chavez's Venezuela is for the people of Venezuela.

How sad is it that it would be considered a step UP to move from one of Hugo Chavez's slums of Venezuela to an abandoned, destroyed by flooding building in New Orelans.

But, Hugo Chavez remains a favorite among the Bush Derangement Syndrome suffering liberals here on Arianna Huffington's website.

I give credit to Charles Rangel - D - NY. When Hugo chavez came to the US and spoke in front of the United Nations, making an utter fool of himself, Charles Rangel, NO friend of President Bush's told Hugo Chavez in no uncertain terms that you do not come tou OUR land and say things about OUR Commander in Chief OR our great country.

It's very unlikely that "LindaMart" is a female, and even less likely that he's a "girl." The use of a female-sounding login does not constitute a sex change operation. If it sounds like a man, it probably IS a man. Some get their jollies warmongering or otherwise promoting the "men's reich" while using a female-sounding screen name. Another example is "DeloresDeVries," who used to call himself PissedOffVietVet.

Regarding the topic of this thread, I notice the usual suspects are taking advantage of the opportunity to fuss about Hugo Chavez, although name restrictions were proposed by "electoral officials," not the Venezuelan president.

Regarding Chavez, it is a gross injustice to compare him to the likes of George Bush. Chavez provides universal health care for the citizens of his country. He's a real president who focuses on real issues like food production, management of natural resources and mutually beneficial trade agreements with other countries.

Don't even put his name in the same sentence with the despicable George Bush, who has nothing to offer the world but bombs.

Geez, it seems that I have some "groupies" here.

Following me from thread to thread, furiously waving their hands trying to get my attention.

But yet, the liberals here on Arianna Huffington's website showed their absolute love for Hugo Chavez. So many wanted to move to Venezuela to live under his government.

Those are just the facts. Any search of the previous posts here on Arianna Huffington's website will show their desire to move to Hugo Chavez's Venezuela. Even though he presides over a country with poverty hovering around 80%. Even though he simply removes from the airwaves any opposing voice. Now, he's going to tell you what you may name your children.

BUT, in the eyes of the liberals who post here on Arianna Huffington's website, he's one of the leaders of the Bush Derangement Syndrome crowd, thus, they gleefully follow him.

Hugo Chavez is working to eliminate the time limit for his presidency, Hugo Chavez has removed from the airwaves opposition television stations. Hugo Chavez presides over a country riddled with extreme poverty, 80%. Hugo Chavez is now going to limit the names allowable for your own children.
