Watch the video:

Fred Thompson officially entered a wide-open Republican presidential race Thursday, vowing to invigorate a dispirited GOP and promising to thwart another Clinton from capturing the presidency.

The former Tennessee senator harkened to the GOP glory days of 1994 when he and other Republicans seized control of Congress and established an equal counterpoint to Democrat Bill Clinton in the White House. Now an official candidate for the Republican nomination, Thompson promised to return the party to better times.

IF he wins the nomination, who will he pick to be his Festus?

Fred did not commit to the American people. Remember being paid to participate in a television series was Fred’s choice over rolling up his sleeves to help America.

The biggest concern America should keep in mind that Fred is a CFR member and brags of being paid by the neo-conservative ground zero, The American Enterprise Institute. This equates to American interest not being served and big corporations getting rich, at any cost to America. Please look up this information if you do not understand.

Fred Thompson's globalist pedigree

Voters and pundits alike are claiming that a potential Fred Thompson run for the White House could "save" the conservative movement that has been betrayed by President George W. Bush. Such a claim defies the facts, because Thompson's political pedigree includes Bush-like globalist credentials.

Fred has at best a two year trend of “sticking at something”.

Freddie (his legal first name) has a long acting career.
He sucked at it.
If, after decades of acting, you get only one award nomination, that nomination was for an ensemble, not Freddie's own 'performance'; in that entire career....you suck at it.
...And then to lose to a gay undertaker....well, one can only assume the loss was due to Fred's crappy performance in the episode submitted for the nomination.
Freddie's Watergate "mole role" and his 'people's coice' hiring of Karl Rove's prodigy Tim Griffin; famous for his 'role' in the US Attorney firing game show, will surely win the hearts and minds of the neochronic.

Welcome to American blogger politics, Freddie.
The 'blog surge' is working.

What a crock of unmitigated horse shit!
Fred Thompson is a lilly-livered, chicken-headed, yellow-bellied, lazy, shiftless, b-rate coward. The only person that I can see lower in the wagon rut than Fred "Jaba" Thompson is Rudy "I'm lying if you see my mouf talking?" Guiliani.
What a creep.

It's an insult to all Americans intelligence for this man to think he can actually win.The image before substance shtick a sad reminder of how desperate Americans are for John Wayne,or in Romney's case, the prototypical Hollywood Presidential look.

All these above comments are good & fine, however who will be the first to declare that yet another ole white male enters the fray possessing no more or no less experience than Obama?

Otherwise, it appears that the so-called 'lack of experience factor' is germane only to those who need some rationalization for their prejudices and fears.

There is only one true person to get elected that has experince to be President and that is the Honorable Al Gore. The rest are not as good or qualified to be President. Democrat or Republican.

Wrong dude - do your homework.
Thompson - Two terms in the Senate.
Obama - Still on his first term.

Thompson, a lobbyist and a lawyer. Yeah, just what Amerika needs. And no, he isn't ronny ray-guns reborn.

Wow, I think that was just alliteration!

I've watched 'Law & Order', Senator Thompson! And you sir, are no Adam Shift!

Just remember Ketchup is a vegetable!

Ask James Watt.

The best race would be between the two hillbillies from Tennessee. Al Gore and Fred Thompson.

Fred Thompson will probably be our next President, and I am sorry to say that. America is too starstruck to really think for itself. In California, Arnold Schwarzennegger, a has been body builder, and a second rate actor was elected twice. The people were too starstruck to really see Arnold for the phoney that he really is. Trust the American people to elect Fred Thompson. They idolize and worship movie and TV stars no matter how vile their views. Americans are consumeristic sheep who are all to willing to give up their freedom for security. Intelligent and thoughtful candidates like Ron Paul, Dennis Kucinich and Mike Gravel need not apply.

The way this administration has been going for the last seven years, the dems would have to shit in the pope's hat or something, in order to lose in 08.

As far as I can tell this is the candidate that would be most likely to continue everything Bush. I have yet to hear him say a thing that sound any different than the decider. Continue failed policies, yep that's the ticket....loser
