Giuliani: Illegal Immigration Isn't A Crime

Republican presidential hopeful Rudy Giuliani said illegal immigration is not a crime, prompting rival Mitt Romney to accuse him of not taking the problem seriously.

The two have clashed for weeks over illegal immigration, an issue that inflames GOP conservatives who influence primary elections. The irony is that both candidates have in the past taken more liberal stands on the issue.

"It's not a crime," Giuliani said Friday. "I know that's very hard for people to understand, but it's not a federal crime."

Republicans want to legalize these 12 million people because businesses want the cheap labor. The Mexicans drive down wages and honestly work harder than many Americans.

Does this mean that all the Companies that paid fines for hiring Illegal Workers get a refund? Does it mean that all the people that have been deported get an apology and a ride back into the USA? Of course by providing this cheap labor they drive down wages for those jobs they take. About 12% of construction work in the US is now done by Mexicans. Do you think these construction companies are paying these illegals the same wages as they did American citizens? Doubtful. Do you think these companies are passing the savings on to the home buyers? Again, doubtful.
The USA is not a suburb of Mexico City. Any nation has the right to secure it's borders. It's bad enough this country is exporting jobs to China and India. Now we have to deal with illegals coming in and driving down wages for the jobs that are left.
By the way, I don't wear a hood, swastika or whatever racist apparel you plan on mentioning in an attempt to cover up a weak argument.

So who did the Mexicans steal it from? I seem to recall something about Spanish ships arriving in the area and the Spanish killing and enslaving the indians. Maybe you've heard of this event.
By the way, the same Mexican governement that promotes illegal immigration of their citizens to the US keeps their army patrolling their southern border. They do this to keep out Central Americans looking to move north for a better life. Can you say hypocrite? This same army and police force routinely beats, robs and often rapes the Central Americans they capture. Yeah, Mexico really holds the moral high ground on this issue.
