It's that time again, where ETP's random cable viewing habits translate into equally random posts. Today we awoke to CNN, to which we had fallen asleep, lured into sweet, sweet dreams by a titillating tease from Anderson Cooper (that Al Qaeda was "putting out more tapes than the Girls Gone Wild series!" Every punch-line sentence I've tried here might get me fatwa'd, so let's just imagine the pixillation and be done with it). At any rate, I awoke to a different sort of titillation — and how much can you say that word, really, before it starts to sound dirty on its own — in the form of some hot, sweaty action between CNN "American Morning" anchor (and Canadian!) John Roberts and network doctor-surgeon-toothpaste ad Dr. Sanjay Gupta. The pair were being shown biking and running, respectively, in Central Park in a bid to test these newfangled new enzyme-replenishment strips or some such thing, and they were sweatin' it up somethin' fierce. And so I figured, hm, I should pull this clip. But then it was actually two clips, so I thought, hm, I should splice these together. And THEN I thought, well, why not just cut out the boring parts and really make use of the CNN chosen soundtrack? And then before you know it I had wasted the better part of my morning. I won't be getting a job at CNN anytime soon — TV people, my hat is off! This editing stuff is HARD! — but hopefully, my reward will come in a different form. If so, it will be one I shall share with you all, as a warm memory from my childhood. Confused? Intrigued? Sweaty? You're not alone. Check out these warriors of the morning now.
