"Extra" was on the set of "The View" this morning when Barbara Walters announced the show's final lineup, and she told "Extra" that Rosie O'Donnell does not take a swipe at her in Rosie's upcoming book, "Celebrity Detox."
"Rosie sent me the book with a note telling me how much she loved me," Barbara said, dispelling rumors of a feud. "I have read the book and I would like to concentrate on the love that she sent."

THE VIEW might be called a niche program or it might be said to be aimed at a niche market. It's on just before noon in the east. The program is aimed at women. In many markets it competes with JERRY SPRINGER. JERRY SPRINGER plays the shock card & the dysfunctional. THE VIEW offers some controversial topics but no gross depravity. BaBa & her producers know their audience & caters to it. They aim at the woman who wants a cigarette & coffee but no hassles. If you long for hassles, acrimony & killer feuds THE VIEW & BaBa aren't for you.
Ms O'Donnel thrives on feuds. Ms Walters is given to making nice even after she scolds. Ms Goldberg may or may not like the make nice mindset but Ms O'Donnell hated it.
BaBa aims at the coffee break crowd & she gets if. She makes a steady income from THE VIEW & making nice.
Ms O'Donnell has a niche audience but not the make nice segment. She was a good fit with BaBa. Ms O'Donnell will soon have a new feud & forget about BaBa. BaBa is trying to forget about Ms O'Donnell. This feud will die soon.
Hope Rosie's book sells out.

Who cares anymore? I gave up watching years ago, after Lisa Ling left! Although I love Rosie ODonnell, I couldn't stand that Elisabeth idiot, (or Barbara Walters anymore), and so I stopped watching. I believe that the show is irrelevant, and that they are "holding on for dear life" to any possible controversy. I don't think it will work. The show has had its day, and now it's time to go "softly into that good night!" Bye-Bye.
Elizabeth would be gone in a minute of Faux Newz would take her. I don't think they have enough time to tell her what her opinion is day after day since she is clueless as to anything that is going on in the world. At least Rosie believed what she was saying and had done research to back it up. Of course it doesn't take much to back up the fact that Donald Trump is a loser egomaniac that very doubtfully has 8 million or billion. If he had that kind of money why would he demean himself by being on WWF or selling steaks. What a loser. He needs the money - Hah, hah.
Rosie pointed at Bush, who hides behind the troops[very bad] Rosie will work again, but in a context other than "Reality show".

Rosie screwed up. she brought up WTC 7 (good) but then followed her line "who are the terrorists?" by pointing at the troops instead of at the failed policies they are victim to (bad).
that's why she got fired, and will probably never work in television again. compare her performance to Mos Def on Bill Maher's show.

When Rosie failed to quantify that remark it was because she was blown away that anyone would think she was calling our soldiers terrorists. She meant that to the IRAQI's anyone that endangers your family and makes your life hell (for whatever reason: war) could be considered a terrorist. It's about perspective. We are occupying their country. We do not speak their language or share their beliefs. Noone asked us to come there. We have guns and we shoot innocent people sometimes and make mistakes. For those reasons To THEM we could be considered "terrorists". Our presence creates TERROR! Our soldiers are not terrorists...to us. For fucks sake, think outside the box. That was her point. Has Elisabeth visited our wounded soldiers in hospital? Doubt.
She was not fired, she quit. Elizardbreath said ....now who are you calling terrorists?. Rosie was agast and speachless because that was the moment in time that she saw her and The View for what it really was. She threw in the towel which was the same as getting the hell out of an abusive relationship and I don't blame her.
Seems like the press is trying SO HARD to make a fued between Rosie and Walters. Why are they going so far out of their way to try and make something to exist when it doesn't.
I've been watching since Whoopie got on and she is obviously looking at the long run and keeping her political views to herself while Elizabitch is still drinking the Koolaid.
I guess Walters keeps her on for all the non gay republicans to dream about a Stepford wife. I honestly think Neo Cons jerk off about an obedient Stepford wife, than a hot wife in the sack.

She did not want to be the skunk on the reality show. David "Puck" Rainey in the original reality show played the skunk, picking on the gay kid and others. The dumb preggo blonde was the simpathetic charector like Pedro Zamorra on the reality show.
It is all an act. Rainey is an actor. Zamora really had AIDS, but the fights were phoney.
Rachel Campos on the same show played the empty
headed Republican charector. She would argue with cartoonist Jeff Winick about politics on the show. All improvisation and not really real. The view tried to recreate the Rachel charector, this time as a dumb blonde.
Who cares. Now there's another network tv program I've never watched.
I think everyone who watched the View, when Rosie was on, knows that the loyalty of the group went as far as the ratings. Rosie, an honest realist, who maintained integrity far superior to those who assumed a superior honesty to her face only to turn on her behind her back for the sake of ratings/money. Rosie made the View the success it was and never will be again. Rosie's honesty taught many viewers to look beyond what we are told by politicians, the media and corporations who's only goal is to sell and brainwash us with what they wanted us to buy, the War in Iraq. Rosie did her job by communicating views that were not only important to her, but important to all Americans, which challenged many of us to seek the truth on our own.
I will always be grateful to Rosie's View because it opened my eyes to the reality of what is really going on in our country and the world. The reality hit home while recently watching the View without Rosie. I realized this show is about nothing but selling me what their coporate owners want me to buy. Whether it is about Michael Vick, Britany Spears or how much Barabra misses the Trumpster, sadly this show now insults my intelligience. An intelligience and truth that Rosie helped me and many others to seek.
Thank you Rosie for your honesty, which opened my eyes to the dishonesty of others.

Walters always was a pseudojournalist in the model of Hedda Hopper, Dorothy Kilgallen and Louella Parsons. Or one the male side Jack Paar or Larry King.
Her connection to the Today show allowed her to get interviews beyond Hollywood of Broadway, but her beat was fluff. Like Jack Paar's interview wiht Fidel Castro or Killgallen's interview with Jack Ruby, Walters got some big political names.
Rosie broke the softball rule of such commentators. Rosie tried to be serious.
Rosei was a lot more interesting. Rosie did not suffer fools like Trump just because they had money.
Wooppie wants the cash. That is why the bit today was "Wooppie buys a bra".
Walters lectured Wooppie today on being careful what she says.No defense of blacks like Mike Vick, no politics, no critisism of Bush, no Malcome "X" moments. You could see in Wooppies eyes, "When do I get my check".

Rosie should have taken a swipe at her. Anybody who regrets losing Donald Trump as a friend needs some serious therapy. Even if he was a decent human being why would he take what Rosie did or said about him against Barbara Walters. BTW, the View is a bore, all the ladies can talk about now is trivial shit. At least when Rosie was on they talked about subjects that mattered. Can't wait to see the ratings. The celebrity feuds and Rosie's big mouth (said with affection as one big mouth to another) are what brought the viewers in to watch everyday and the day she started on Donald Trump was about the hardest I have ever left. She all but pointed out what a fake loser he is. At least she calls it like she sees it. BW on the other hand wants to have a show that showcases other female's views but she has none of her own. Stay behind the curtains then.
