Lieberman Asks Petraeus: Do You Want Authority To Send Troops To Iran?

TPM Muckraker:

Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-CT) doesn't think Gen. Petraeus has enough war on his hands. The senator (changing the subject from Iraq with "I want to go to Iran...") asked Petraeus if he wanted "the authority" from Congress to "pursue the Qods forces into Iranian territory." Petraeus, for some reason, politely declined to start a third contemporaneous U.S. war.

I tried so hard to make sure Lieberman did not get back to the Senate. Ned Lamont was the man for the job, but too many democrats in Connecticut didn't want to give up on Joe even though he had been shown that he was Bush/Cheney's best friend. The whole bunch who want more horror and insanity by attacking Iran should be tried and jailed for treason.

The first American "Likud Party" Senator farts out of his mouth again.

The neocons want an Iran attack. Since Congress is unlikely to grant them one, they will look for any means possible to get it.

The next President won't be able to attack Iran. It's now or never for them.

Also, an Iran War is a great distraction, especially around election time next year.

Lieberman is supposed to working in America's best interest, not the extreme right in Israel.
