Rosie To Barbara: Retire, Already

Rosie O'Donnell has some words of advice for Barbara Walters: Go, already.

In her upcoming memoir, Celebrity Detox, which sheds light on, among other episodes in her life, the TV star's tumultuous stint last season on The View, O'Donnell, 45, addresses Walters, 77, to say, "And Barbara. At some point, a person gets tired. It's inevitable," the New York Post reports.

"Barbara Walters is almost twice my age," the book (which is to be published Oct. 2) is quoted as saying. "At some point it becomes necessary to step back. Everyone has to go. Going is part of the gig."

Good idea Rosie. I said the same think in another post on this site yesterday. If there is anything worse than an old lady attempting to save herself by rehashing her program, over and over again, making a fool of herself, I don't know what it is. You would think Barbara Walters would have retired when she was ahead, to preserve her reputation, rather than to go on, and on and on and........................

I watched Rosie as she sabotaged guest Tom Sellick on her old show. I wondered how she got to think she was so important? I am not necessarily a fan of the NRA, but I have to give Sellick credit...he acted like an adult even though he was dealing with an adolescent mind trapped in an adult's body.

Then, she screwed up so badly that she lost her own magazine, even her own TV show where she was the center of attention. Look at me! Look at me!

And finally, she lost the gig on the View where she had a chance to redeem herself by, at last, acting like a grown up.

Unfortunately, Rosie thinks she is as important as Oprah and the center of the universe. She lacks the basic skills of human interaction that Oprah has although the egos come close to matching.

Barbara Walters should have checked into Rosie's past before giving Rosie a chance to train wreck The View.

What either one of these hags says, or doesn't say, is absolutely immaterial. When what you do in the bedroom becomes the benchmark of your identity, you're toast. I'm amazed at the admiration by some for a person who can't even figure out how much food to sensibly consume.

What a mean spirited bitch, that Rosie.Although Barbara Walters isn't the nicest person on television and she's a liar she she should retire when she chooses.Rosie O'Donnell should concern herself with becoming more health conscience,it would improve her looks and her attitude, which needs an adjustment.

The really sad thing is that Rosie retired a long time ago and she does not know it. Being loud gets attention but not respect. And she does not even know how to multiply. 90 is a good way from 77. Rosie has a sad life and it is unfortunate that she lets us all see it. Sad for us and her.
