Republican support for the Iraq war remained on shaky ground in Congress but wasn't lost after a four-star general recommended keeping some 130,000 U.S. troops in the country through next summer.

With Gen. David Petraeus scheduled to testify Tuesday before Senate committees heavy with 2008 presidential candidates, many rank-and-file Republicans said they still were uneasy about the lack of political progress in Iraq. But they also remained reluctant to embrace legislation ordering troops home by next spring, increasing the likelihood that Democrats will have to soften their approach if they want to pass an anti-war proposal.

No matter who you are and what you believe, I think we can all agree that it is extremely embarrassing to have a grown man, 60 years old, who is the leader of the free world, going around using expressions like "we are kicking ass" whether it's on or off the record. It's just...embarrassing. I've always been embarrassed of this guy but dang, this stupid stuff like mouthing off again, it is not Presidential. Then again....oh, never mind.

It's not just reading the insanity of the righties that post, it is the policy of the United States Government that makes me crazy. We are debating the most insane topics here, due process, human dignity,spying on U.S. Citizens, invading countries that are no threat to us. So have statistics been cooked as MoveOn has charged? Who's asking? IS it ture that casualties of car bombs "don't count" and assassinations only count if shot in the head from the front? What next? Only battlefield deaths count as casualties for American troops? Those who die later "don't count"?
I knew a fellow who worked in the Pentagon during Vietnam and who confided to us that he saw the "real" statistics on casualties. Cooking the numbers is nothing new to this crew.

God, this is so fucking stupid! Of course, Betrayus wants to stay in Iraq. That's what military Generals do. If we get out of Iraq there is nothing for guys like Petraeus to do.

If you go to a surgeon to get an evaluation, chances are they will want to cut you open. If you don't want to be cut open you need to see a different kind of doctor.

Generals are soldiers. Soldiers are trained to kill people. That's their job. If you end the war. DUH! No job.

It's just a stupid to use our military forces as police forces in Iraq. They are not trained to keep the peace. They are trained to fucking kill people! God, you people are so dumb.

What did you really think Petraeus was going to say in September?

Bush has to renege on it's claims that N.Korea is a Terrorist nation or it will walk away from peace talks.

33% rise in violent crime.

11% rise in poverty.

13% drop in average salaries.

The monkeyking is giant recruiting poster for Bin-Laden. He(bush) gives sound footing for every muslim suspicion, and every Arab fear of America's intentions toward the middle east.

Hundreds of thousands of Iraqi's dead,

Thousands of Americans dead,

Terrorist organizations self sufficentlly funded,

Al-Qeada just as much as a threat as it was on Sept. 10, 2001,

And Iraq is hundred times more of a Clusterf*ck
