The Associated Press reports on the online mashup sponsored by Yahoo!, Slate Magazine and the Huffington Post....

Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton on Wednesday dismissed criticism from her chief rivals over her acceptance of campaign contributions from lobbyists, calling their concerns "a little inauthentic" since they accept money from lobbyists' employers and relatives.

In an interview for an online candidates' forum sponsored by Yahoo!, Slate Magazine and the Huffington Post, Clinton also announced she would release her plan to offer universal health coverage next Monday.

"I hope the headline will read, 'Hillary is back and we're going to get it done this time,'" she said.

All eight Democratic contenders participated in the so-called online "mashup," including Clinton, Barack Obama, John Edwards, Bill Richardson, Chris Dodd, Joe Biden, and Mike Gravel.

They took questions from moderator Charlie Rose on education, health care and the Iraq War, many of which were submitted from readers online. Comedian Bill Maher also made a surprise appearance, offering "wild card" questions on issues such as whether marijuana should be legalized.

Interesting format.

Hillary, while wiping the egg off her face about the contribution, does have a point.

Too many "bundled" contributions.

Funny....Maher questions Clinton's wisdom since she voted to authorize Bush to take actions up to and including war in Iraq, yet if my memory serves me correctly, Maher was somewhat supportive of the incursion into Iraq as well. Curious, to say the least.

It's a question that should be asked. Hillary was never shy about stating publicly she did not trust the Bush Administration. Here's what is missing that is vital. As a US Senator, she had access to the NIE report, which SHE HAS ADMITTED SHE DID NOT READ! Those few that voted against authorization, sited the NIE report as not making the case the administration was pushing. It is pathetic that now she claims "experience" as her winning asset and expects us to forget she failed the biggest test of leadership she had- Bottom line, she didn't bother to do her homework when lives were on the line and handed a cabal of self serving liars the ability to send our troops to slaughter. Pin the Medal of Freedom on her and send her ass home. (And her condesending laugh was insulting- the death and destruction her vote helped create is not funny)

Hillary Clinton just permanently lost my vote. I have been waiting for the answer to this question since she began running for President. Why did she vote for this war and without reading the NIE and this is the best she can come up with. I hope that both Obama and Edwards call her on this answer during the next debate. "I was misled" and "others got it wrong too" will not cut it. And why is she cackling like a hen, as if this were funny and not about peoples lives?

So today Hillary comes out with her ridiculous health care plan - mandatory health INSURANCE.
Well I guess the lobbyists got what they paid for. What a bonanza for them. As ususal no health CARE for AMer9icans just Helath insurance. Kucinich is still the only candidtae with the balls to take health insurance out of the picture. Not for profit health care for all of us with NO health insurance companies sucking up a third or more of health care dollars while contributing nothing to our health care. What a travesty! And then Kucinich isn't even allowed to speak at the AARP health care sympsium. Naturally they have their own health Insurance game. Are Anericans really this stupid as to think these plans of Hillary and the others except Kucinich have any value whatsoever? Kucincih wasn't allwoed to speak at the Iowa steak fry yesterday when al the other were, even those lower in the polls than Dennis. The establishment must be worried that if the people get to hear Kucincih they will see that the other candidates pale in cmparison. They want once again tweedledum to run against tweedledee.
