Kucinich: I Wouldn't Assassinate Bin Laden

Dennis Kucinich, champion of the Department of Peace, wouldn't assassinate Osama Bin Laden if he had the chance.

Pressed twice during the HuffPost/Yahoo!/Slate Candidate Mashup to say whether he would take out the Al Qaeda chief, Kucinich was unequivocal.

"We've had air strikes all along the Pakistani border," he told Charlie Rose. "We've killed lot of innocent villagers in this search for Osama din Landen. Where does it end? Do you nuke a country in order to get on person? ... We cannot get into a kind of international vigilantism."

The solution, Kucinich says, is to capture bin Laden and hold him to justice.

But what if he resists arrest? "Whatever happens, happens."

Dennis is the most honest, sincere candidate of any I've seen in years. He's intelligent & moral & makes the most sense. I compare him to Abe Lincoln. I liked him the last time when no one even noticed him, and I like him even better this time. He needs more out front time to get noticed. I turned Independent, I urge everyone to turn independent & stop this party insanity. Learn to vote like the old days when you voted for the best candidate & didn't tell anyone who you voted for. It'd help stop tampering & force us back to true democracy. It'd also drive the pollsters crazy!

Osama Bin Laden can never be captured. He would be killed first. He might tell things that were not to be told.

Dennis Kucinich is a true American who tells it like he sees it.

Can't you see that by even acknowledging the lie of Osama Bin Laden and 9/11, he is supporting the Neocon lie and deceiving you. That is how the New World Order crowd generates their matrix of lies.

They use controlled resistance to fight against a component of the original lie, given the remainder of the lie a credence that is very difficult for people to see through.

For example Bush might say the flying pig is purple. Hillary comes out and calls Bush a lier. She say the flying pig is really green.

In this, Hillary just supported the lie that flying pigs exist.

That is how they do it. Both sides ultimately support the lie.

What type of low life takes joy at the death of another human being? The headline should read Kucinich upholds the constitution. Your anti peace bias is showing.

Kucinich has spoken the truth from day one and he's the only prominent political figure to have stuck to his original convictions, word for word. Time has proven him, despite the unfair bashing he's received, to be right on the facts, and in turn to be the right man to uphold the principals of the U.S. constitution and I'm going to vote for him.

Just remember, if you believe that Bin Laden was involved in 9/11 you are totally uninformed and need to start researching now!

The lie of the Bush family friend and CIA operative Osama Bin Laden being involved in 9/11 just show how totally ignorant you are.

The only possible role he played was to agree to be the bogeyman for his pal Bush in exchange for removing troops from the Saudi holy land.

As usual the NeoCons and NeoLib (Pelosi) have spun a web of lie so dense you must be very careful about what you consider the truth. Just about everything regarding 9/11 and the war on terror is a lie. Research for yourself.

Americans tend to think, and, unfortunately, act in the moment. Our history is replete with this- a single example is the Japanese internment camps of WWII.
Does anyone remember why we put in the assassination ban? Salvador Allende, the moderate, elected President of Peru was taken out because "we" didn't like him. The trouble with political killings, as vs. revenge murder for crimes committed, is that it is one Hell of a slippery slope. Who's next? Kim? Ahmadinijabd? Putin? How about the countries that "refuse to support the 'war on terror'? Where do we draw the line, and stop playing God? Be careful what you wish for- you may just get it.

Of course he wouldn't assasinate bin Laden. OBL is already dead. Has been for five years now. They buried him in the mountains, then his family recovered the body. Everybody knows that. Sheesh! Do I have to teach you people everything?

Kooch is the tallest standing politico around. He's huge. Balls the size of grapefruits (judging by his enemies who fear him greatly because he shows them for the corrupt, greedy people they are).

This is very sad.

So many of you claim to back Dennis Kucinich, but not really.

I almost feel sorry for him, reading this thread, thinking he has so much support, but when it comes to voting for him, you just cannot seem to do it.

Maybe next year, he'll once again be the lone "NO" vote on the 9/11 commemorative resolution.

That "NO" vote was a disgrace. Maybe, deep down, that's the reason you just can't bring yourselves to actually vote for him.

I can certainly understand.

God bless the troops.

stupidmart60, the support you see here is real and we will vote for him and back him. I have given money already.

The problem is (good news for you linda) that most of America watches Fox, CNN etc. and actually believe that they are getting the truth from them. Your neocon masters are better at propaganda than most people realize....you included.
But at least we here recognize the truth when it stares us in the face....and sadly on some level most of us know that Dennis is not likely to be the next President.
But for now we can believe, and we can work to make America better. I spend most of my effort on the Green party.
You lindaIQ60 spend your time defending a criminal mass murderer who pretends to be a Christian.....how will you explain that to your God some day when you meet him at the pearly gates?

so here is my sign off in honor of your last line. Can you pray with me linda?

God bless the innocent Iraqi children who have been wounded by American weapons, and god bless those Iraqi children who have lost their parents to American weapons and US torture facilities.

Your last line is so apropos:

In that context: To a conservative the death of an innocent is collateral damage. To a progressive the death of an innocent is murder.

I like to call it for what it is. Anyone here like the idea of their family members becoming collateral damage?

"God bless the troops."

Stop telling "God" what to do, lindamart60. God will "bless the troops" when it is good and ready. Until then, however, the "troops" will be maimed and killed by the actions of the Republican Administration you constantly apologize for.

The nominal life expectancy of a dialysis patient if 5-7 years after beginning of treatment. Once the word gets out, Bin Laden ceases to be Bush's trump card.

Anyone still having any doubts as to why America is becoming a third-rate country need only read hastings' comments on page one, because like it or not, the idiot represents 30% of the population. It would appear that 30% of my fellow Americans have everything going for them except moral certitude.

You can't capture a so called martyr, he's in deep space with the 72 virgins, some time ago. Bush knew that, thats why he said he was not about to capture him, in so many words. Kucinich got it right, he probably knows that Bin Ladin is a spook buried in some cave and the muslims can get look alikes to keep sending tapes every few years, Look how many copies Saddamm had , maybe Bush hung the wrong one eh?

Honza--Indeed our rulers have little regard for our intelligence. Either that or they think we'll forever go on believing whatever they tell us, no matter how absurd the lies.

Take a look at these after and before Shaddam/Saddam photos:

http://www.vialls.com/iraq/vaudeville.html

Most tellingly, Shaddam the prisoner had crooked teeth and an unusual underbite while Saddam the president had an even set of pearly whites with a slight overbite.
