Britney Spears "just wants to be a mom," her lawyer, Laura Wasser, said Friday - adding, "I believe this is a frustrating time for her."

Wasser spoke to reporters outside the courtroom after another hearing in the custody fight between Spears and ex-husband Kevin Federline. TMZ.com and CelebTV cited court documents signed Friday saying Spears will continue to pay Federline $20,000 in spousal support.

However, a legal source close to the case tells PEOPLE that it "was an old document filed for housekeeping purposes... All the financial issues in this case have already been decided."

Ah,another white trash soap opera to fascinate and distract the drooling masses.

Below is an MSNBC article listing Brit's "sins" s a mother. Afer reading it, do you still think she should lose her kids?

Note: Once incident involved her attempting to leave a hotel in NYC with a glass of water in her hand.

Wants to be a MOM? Brit maybe you should put down the coctail so you can hold your kids hand once in awhile.

Probably still young enough for a series of porn videos. Otherwise no future in performance. Probably good if she decided to stay home and play mommy. Even this will require an army of handlers. What a pathetic "child star" flame out.
Stage moms, let this be a lesson to you.

Spears "just wants to be a mom,"

And I just want to 18 again.
But neither is going to happen.

A lawyer actually getting close to the truth.

Ignoring the fact that Britney is apparently a lousy mom, in that recent sorry performance she sure looked and danced like an overworked mom.

Give it up, Britney. You've got enough money.

Brit's a great mom who loves her kids. Every new Mom makes mistakes and as far as I know there have been only two (driving with her son in her lap, and putting the baby seat backwards in the car). However, most new moms are not targeted by TMZ and the like and made to appear incompetent. Federline has a nanny too and he sure needs one more than Brit does.

Federline is a creep and Britney is obviously feeling the heat of this custody battle and its upsetting her; it would upset anyone.

Lawyer up girl, you got the money for it, come at Federline hard and save yourself and your kids.

Lucille makes a great point here. I'm sure if most peoples lives were put under a microscope, and the fuck-ups were all that were shown, a lot of folks wouldn't fare much better than Britany in the public eye.

I'll tell you one arena where cons and libs are virtually the same... being judgmental.

ooh, Britney's lawyer. gimme more!

I want to know about her business manager, her agent, all her active business contracts. who is running Britney, Inc.? who frames the choices she makes? don't tell me the girl who thinks time travel in Back to the Future is like real life is running the whole enterprise by herself.

It's probably a good time to take off and lose the extra weight.

Do you think Britney Spears should do the Emmy Awards?.... --------> http://www.youpolls.com/details.asp?pid=489

I don't think I like Brit's custody attorney either. I should have copied her name from the other site, but anyway the other site reported that Brit"s attorney wants to seal the case from the public and Federline's attorney agrees. I think that's a big mistake on Brit's part as she hasn't done anything wrong against her children. She made the mistake of putting the child in her lap while driving to get away from the paparazzi, and she strapped the car seat in backwards another time; she almost fell caring her baby but that"s not a crime. Yet the tabloids and Federline are making this a federal case. Federline in particular wants more of Brit"s money for all of his other children that are scattered around the U.S.. Also, something tells me he wants control of Brit as well.

Anyway, some terrible things have happened in Family Court when all the records are sealed and their are gag orders in place. I think Brit and her attorney are making a mistake and the public should not be barred so that nothing underhanded occurs.

After all, Federline's attorney earlier had requested the judge to allow a witness who met Brit in rehab while she was being treated for post-partum depression (rehab that Federline supposedly threatened her with a custody fight if she didn't go and now of course he's using her stay there against her).

The problem was that the "witness" wanted to testify in secret and didn't want to be identified even in the transcripts. The judge said no but if the courtroom and transcripts are sealed, and theirs a gag order in place, who knows what other tricks could be pulled against Brit.

Brit don't do it. Allow the custody proceedings to go public.
