The poll numbers show that Hillary has a disapproval rating of 47% among the general public. The polls also show she has an 80% disapproval rating among republicans.

She is not electable and the republicans know this. They need her as the Dem nominee because she unites a fractured republican party and will bring out every living republican voter (and maybe even some dead ones, the way the republicans run things) to vote AGAINST her.

If I were Hillary, I would not worry about the hateful statement from this guy. I can tell you that I do not agree with everything Hillary says or does, but compared to Rudy, Hillary would win in any comparison on any subject. To change the subject, not speak to the real question is such a "regular Rudy type response". When he has a problem he sidesteps and makes someone else it.

In politics, business, and life in general we all have falling outs with former friends and associates. But two Guliani aides seems pretty small compared to the number of former associates and friends of Bill and Hilary who are now supporting other candidates.

Senator Cinton had every right to ask pointed questions of General Patraeus, she doesn't have to explain herself. General Patraeus needs to explain why he had to defer to Amb. Crocker so much, why Adm. Fallon from Centcom wasn't sitting with him and why after taking a break he had to restate some of what he said before the break. We talk in numbers--but these are people's lives and deaths. We need to realize that we as a nation have been set up for failure by the arrogance and ineptitude of our leaders, who blithely talk about a long and continued presence in an ustable and uncivil war. We are beyond winning and victory in Iraq. We do need to win the war on terror, but so doesn't Europe and Southeast Asia--but we need to make ourselves diplomatically and economically stronger--otherwise we will mirror the Soviet Union's end. End Iraq--bring our military home--strengthen training, armaments and manpower in Afghanstan/Pakistan.
