Edward Mazria wants people to know how rising sea levels -- made worse by global warming -- will affect residents along U.S. coastlines.

Goodbye, Hollywood, Fla. So long, Boston. New Orleans? Forget about it.

"We're not talking about South Sea islands and Bangladesh here," Mazria said. "We're talking about the U.S. being physically under siege with a very small increment of sea level rise."

Mazria isn't a climatologist. He's not even a scientist. He's an architect who gave up running his company in January to devote his time to a nonprofit group he founded several years ago. Called Architecture 2030, the organization tries to bring attention to the amount of greenhouse gas emissions that the building sector contributes to global warming through inefficient electricity use, lighting, heating and cooling.

So his site shows pics of cities after sea levels have risen 3' to 16'. That's a hell of an increase. Why not just use 50' if you're going for shock value?

Why didn't Clinton do anything about this during the eight years of his administration?

Because it's all bullshit and he knows it. So does Al Gore but he wants to make money off the bogus "carbon credits".

Actually I was thinking if women could get over their addiction to shopping we might have half the problem solved.

Glad you feel better. Where is the gloom and doom in making the world a better place. The clean rivers you found made you feel better. I'm glad for you. I will be more glad for the children who won't have to inherit our mess.

doomocrats never acknowledge progress. they always preach gloom and doom. they want you to become dependent on them so they can control your lives. they couch it in catchy guilt pushing slogans like 'it takes a village' or 'fo de chillins' and crapola such as this.

these are the same ones who were running around the skrewels 40 years ago when i were in high skrewel telling everyone that by the turn of the century, we would all be starving, the oil would be gone, minerals resources would be depleted, the air and water would all be polluted, and in fact we would all freeze to death.

they are still preaching gloom and doom because they are depressing little, self important, nimrods.

there. i feel better now.

One river at a time. Keep making my point that one person at a time, one river at a time, one lake, one city, one country, we can change this, and save the world for our children. All this is done because "We the people" of the world want to make it better for them. So great show some more.. It's great! Proving one at a time that we can do this!

you preach the gloom and doom to the ignorant and uniformed.

All you can do is call names. Try showing some facts and proof. The world is cleaner? Where do you live? Dumping still happens, rivers are still polluted. Many rivers in Texas were I'm from have such high mercury levels you can't drink from them and the fish are contaminated so you can't eat them. We have so many super fund sites in the US it is ridiculous. Our oceans are poisoned by oil, and other harmful chemicals. The legislation in this country for pollutants is a joke. Thanks to god ol' boys like W. The things we are doing like recycling and all are just my point so thank you for making it even more.

More site to visit to prove to you skeptical people. I understand this need to not believe, who wants to believe this... No one wants this but as my grandfather always said "What you want and what you get are to very different things. You can hope for what you want but you have to make due with what you get." Even if only a ounce of this is true its enough to kill a lot of people. We need to look to a solution, be the solution, not the cause. I'm not a liberal nut, I'm very conservative in my thinking. I want my children to have better then me. Like my parents wanted for me and theirs wanted for them. We have to look at this as a world issue not an American issue.

Yeah! We do instead of being selfish use it up and leave nothing for the future as@holes. I have said its for our future as well, but yeah the children matter. They can't change it once its done and they are our responsibility. So for the children is right! We owe them, that much. How can we teach them to be responsible if all we do is shirk ours. So make fun, kid, call names, I won't stoop to that, I'll just say this the things I do I do for the future of my kids and yours. I'm not a victim, and I don't want my kids to be because of our selfishness. Globally we can make a difference, by individually making a choice.
