There is a very easy way to prevent anyone from being put into harm's way and that is for Saddam Hussein to disarm. And I have absolutely no belief that he will. I have to say that this is something that I have followed for more than a decade. If he is serious about disarming, he would have been much more forthcoming. I ended up voting for the resolution after carefully reviewing the information and intelligence that I had available, talking to people whose opinions I trusted, trying to discount political or other factors that I didn't believe should be in any way a part of this decision. I would love to agree with you, but I can't based on my own understanding and assessment of the situation. I just saw a TV ad today where the parents of a soldier killed in Iraq were using his words to pitch for "victory" for the war. Now if any advertizing is Vulgar, profane and utterly criminal, that is. To advert for one thing means to subvert all other efforts towards another. as a Vietnam Vet, I am powerfully offended that the conservatives would complain that a 4 star general who can defend himself but who also is clearly being used to pitch a policy position most Americans abhor, is criticized for actually betraying us and then offer up a sham political stink-bomb on the death bed of a soldier whose life was sacrificed for a flim-flam war! I am offended at such vulgarity and profaning of our men and women of honor. and I think his parents and their backers ought to be ashamed.

Rudy attack ads do not work especially when you try to link candidates to other organizations. It never worked against GW and the swift boaters, even though we know GW was involved with them. Give it up Rudy you have far too much history in the media to win, most people really know what you are about, and smearing others will not help.
