Britney Spears Could Lose Custody As Early As Today

Fox News:

Britney Spears could lose custody of her two little kids as early as Monday morning.

This is a real possibility, thanks to crusading Los Angeles attorney Gloria Allred. She's bringing a "secret" witness to court Monday for the custody battle between Spears and ex-husband Kevin Federline.

Forget reports that the "secret" witness doesn't matter or won't be heard. In fact, last week Allred filed a signed declaration from the witness, described only as a man who's had close observation of Spears' behavior with her kids.

Many are using the Spears debacle for their own selfish gain. As a Christian, a webmaster of a single parents site(http://christian-dating-service-plus.com/) and a family court mediator on custody issues for over 24 years, I find it horrifying that nobody is helping this poor girl. It disgusts me that even conservative Christians are bashing her. Where is the love of Christ in all of this. Hypocrites!

There are three pre-conditions required to help someone: they must need help (clearly the case), want help (not clear) and be willing to accept help (not yet).

There is a saying among recovering people: its true that you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink....but you can sure make it thirsty.

Court intervention, through coercion, may prove effective. Frequently, addicts and alcoholics need firm boundries. Part of her problem is that she is surrounded by "enablers" who keep her from experiencing the consequences of her actions. With this family court action, that may be coming to an end.

Worked for me...my wife said to get help or get a laywer.

Absolutely true. She manages to worm her way into every high profile case wanted or not. Having said that Britney should lose physical custody of her kids at least temporarily until she gets help. Everyone should be aware that she has severe mental problems and for MTV to use the situation for ratings is disgusting. Nobody should hire for anything until she gets the help she needs.

If she is doing drugs in front of her children, she is endangering their lives!!

I feel sorry for her but the children obviously arent enough incentive for her to get herself together.

They should be taken away from her, at least, temporarily, for their safety. Then she can get them back when she proves that she has kicked her self-destructive habits and can take proper care of them.

Its pretty ironic that k-fed is considered the responsible parent. Those poor children!!!

There are struggling young performers with just as much or more talent who would give anything to be in Brittany's, Linsay's, and other famous morons shoes. Yes it's true the Bush criminal cabal has truly fucked up this country but as long as people like Brit are in the news (whether we like it or not) Brit has my sympathy. She needs help and she needs it badly.

Taking her kids away may make things even worse. I don't know what it will take to get through to her, but one can only hope it happens soon and she gets back on track. I think the men in her life have let her down time after time. K-Fucked up was the worst thing that could have ever happened to her. His asshole ways only made her unhappy as much as she wanted to be happy.

I feel sorry for her. Money and fame have only made her life worse.

For some reason I caught the last few minutes of Spin Beck the other day. Here was this Moron self proclaimed Christian and staunch republican media thug laughing his ass off on public television over that youtube video or the person {male/female?] who obviously has some kind of mental problem, crying over the treatment of Brittany. A great example of your compassionate republican. Why dont he take a special ed class out and publicly laugh at them while he is at it. Or maybe he could go kick a few kids in wheelchairs out into traffic.
Its one thing to chuckle over something like this video in private or amongst your friends, even though it shows your an ass, but at least you keep it among your and your friends, who are probably assholes as well. but to do this publicly??? It really shows what people like Spin Beck are made of.
