Should we stop kidding ourselves? Land of the free? Free speech? Isn't it about time we stopped waving the flag and pretending that this is an open and democratic society, particularly when it's embarrassingly apparent that just about every other western country is far more open and democratic than us? Where did we allow ourselves to go wrong?

Keith Olbermann was right when he said that Mr. Bush took our goodwill, sharpened it, then stabbed us in the back with it. Look what chickens and Kool-aid drinkers the Bush administration has turned our broadcasting media into.

What really (always and continuously) shows their (FOX, the Bush Admin, etc.) stupidity is that their censoring stuff like this only makes it more powerful. If they hadn't censored it we wouldn't all be talking about it today. I think it's called "digging your own grave."

Let us hope that someday soon we again live in a country that doesn't censor the truth told forcefully, doesn't stifle legitimate protest, doesn't spy on its own citizens without a warrant, and doesn't believe that a government by the people and for the people should perish from our hearts and our memories to be supplanted by fear and aggressive foreign conquest.
