Sally always great, proffesional , and beautiful......Also ,pretty woman indeed.
republicans are puuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuusssssiiiiiiiiiiiiiies!!!!
nice to see canada still has freedom and democracy.
Thank you Sally, Canada, and all those who stand to fight tyranny, fascism, and the destruction of democracy.
Without you, we are lost.
Let's face it, Republicans are COWARDS.
They always run away from the truth. Wimps, all of them.
They bleeped the flying nun !!! THIS was censored !?!?
Worse stuff is spewed on FOX 24/7, it's a sad, sad state of the US. Was it the Emmy's or the network, and why ?
I agree with Sally, and because of this event, and what Greenspan said on 60 minutes last night, I am going to support Hillary, just in hopes that she will re-implement the draft, and stop the invasion/occupation...repeal NSA and pour weed killer on the roots this administration leaves behind to dwell...geez...
"I am going to support Hillary" ???
because she is a mother? because Greenspan admits the USA is in Iraq for the oil? WHY? I don't see the connection.
Hillary is a hawk. If you want politics as usual, she is your girl.
Support Hillary in '08 in hopes she re-implements the draft? It may be too late. WE NEED TO SCREAM NOW! SALLY FIELD'S WAS SCREAMING! WE SHOULD ALL BE SCREAMING NOW!
If the mothers ruled the world, there would be no wars.
Something I'm willing to agree with.
Well... barring, you know, Hillary Clinton.
And uh...Nancy Pelosi and Diane Feinstein (I hear Feinstein's husband has made a pretty penny on war profiteering.....)
Diane Feinstein is a Democrat in Republican Drag. Despitevery convincing photos of her in her youth, I no longer believe she's really a woman.
JLFeliz, you unfairly blame Hillary. Since she has no particular viewpoints of her own, blame her pollster and focus group. Damn you, pollster and focus group!
kinda sad when the PRICKS running our media are too chicken shit to air a person with dissent against this fucked up war and regime.
GO SALLY GO
You are absolutely right Sally, so they can edit out your words all they want, every single woman in America surly agrees with her statement, as Mothers, Grandmothers, wives, sisters, and citizens, Amen!
Amen. I tell my daughters to empower themselves and make a better world because the men won't do it! Way to go Sally!
Nope, Granny, not every woman in America is anti-war. It's a nice thought- that women are on higher moral ground than men- but it doesn't work that way.
We couldn't be in this phony oil grab of a war without the enabling of people like Olympia Snowe, Susan Collins, Dianne Feinstein, Senators Dole and Hutchison. I'm writing off the top of my head- of course, there are other war-hawk females. Then of course, those leg-baring ladies on FoxNews who keep the drumbeat going. Look at any pro-war rally, and you're going to find men... and women.
Here's where Sally went moon-bat crazy and silly. She clearly thinks it's a dreamworld where all mothers renounce war, and maybe nuns can fly. Sally, if you're reading this: it ain't so. And another thing- some wars are unfortunately necessary, when you've got to defend yourself. You should have specifically said you were against the invasion and occupation of Iraq, a nation that- as all the neocons knew- never for a minute posed a threat to us.
Yes, ProfessorVP you could be right. But all those women you mentioned above are all middle aged who would not have to sacrifice their own flesh and blood; who would not have to take a direct hit. They would never have one sleepless night worrying about that infamous letter from the president with it's stamped on signature telling them their child is dead.
Hmm? Professor my back side on your face little small membered one. I great you not at all as an of the educated class but yet so as one who performs his duties well in only his own mind but yet, is rather comically being easily refutable. Your view is the same of all them Cheneys in this world. Rove might have left the building but guys like you, because it shines all to bright that "envy of larger poles & wanting oh so much to belong to the power structure" white male over you dear Sir (NOT). Sally was being not at all what you so stylishless called her gesture to be, She was on the other hand, rather being a proud mother and patriotic. You on the third hand, would really benefit from a good spanking old man by your Mother if she could ever handle such a wicked little sellout of a boy that you visibly seem to be. ROFL!
If mothers in America aren't afraid, they should be. "It didn't matter till they came for me" comes to mind. If you think it doesn't (or can't) affect you, you would be wrong. If things go wrong in their wars, they will draft your young sons and daughters first. If it goes real bad, they will draft your older sons and daughters. They can't play war games without (our sons and daughters).
The irony is stunning. It is ok for us to view death and destruction everyday in Iraq (or, in years past, Vietnam) on the TV, but to hear one utter the term "God-damned" on the TV or radio and we are at risk of losing our moral fabric.
Fuck all you conservative hypocrites!
Ditto!
Amen and ditto to that!
I'll just add that the media doesn't show us the true horror of war, like men and women blowing up into little bits. That's something not lost on Muslims who not only see it on TV, but live it every day. American TV is sanitized for our protection, and it's gotten worse since Janet Jackson's super bowl breast incident. Show the killing in Iraq on TV, uncensored, and watch this war come to a screeching halt.
Actually we see very little of the death and destruction every day in Iraq. If we did, we would be in the streets, demanding an end to it before they bomb Iran. They don't cover Chuck Hagel (one of our Republican Senators) who makes comments against the war. This morning Good Morning America talked about Sally Field and then had Glen Beck on to say her comments aren't important. We only want her to act. Chuck Hagel's comments can't be dismissed so easily, so they easily don't cover it. Fox censored Salley Field, but by not covering Senator Chuck Hagel's comments, mainstream media is censoring him!
Has FOX actually said why her remarks were censored? Have they even owned up to censoring? It seemed as though they had a dead shot of the big globe set piece without sound to appear as if their were "technical difficulties." This might have worked had not their censor has such a quick trigger finger and showed us what indeed this shot was for.
I'm saddned by this political climate where we fear what we can say. I'm jealous of Canadians for being able to see a mindless TV award show without the heavy hand of Big Brother.
There would be no wars???
Tell that to these gals:
